how to use the phone in gta 4

Hello,  Can someone tell me how to use the cellphone in Grand Theft Auto 4 on the Xbox 360 because I have no idea how it works.  Thanks to everyone who wants to help!  See you!

You need to complete the first three missions for Roman in order to use the phone.

If you are at the beginning of the game, it's normal; you have to be patient.

Already on PS3, you press the up arrow once. And if you want to enter codes, you press it twice and then you write your code (the number).
