I have a big problem when I want to play GTA 5. I launch the game and everything goes well, but during the loading screen for story mode or online, the image freezes and the loading continues. I wait for hours but nothing happens... What should I do please? I wanted to know if anyone else has the same problem. THANK YOU

Alright, so 2 possibilities:
- Either your Blu-Ray disc is scratched, damaged, and has to be thrown away
- Or, as UnkutEth said, it's a backup issue.
I hope for your sake that it's the backups.
Good luck!

Everyone complains about the GTA5 saves causing bugs.. That's certainly it!

Look here, many people have the issue (Xbox and PS3), and many resolve it by moving their save files etc.. put your save on a USB stick, delete it from your console and start the game without the save, see if it starts.. The save is probably buggy:
I quote:
My trick is to go through online mode. (you must have internet and the online update, sorry for the others). At the game launch, connect immediately to online mode as soon as possible, before loading story mode.
Then the game will likely tell you that the save is corrupted. (that was my case.)
It's this save that's causing the chaos. So you need to overwrite it like to create a new online character.
From here, there's no need to create a character, just join story mode.
Magically, you will appear on your old save. The tutorial doesn't stop here, as the problem is not resolved as you can just access your save, but it is still corrupted. So you need to immediately create a new save in a new slot. Even creating two additional saves is a significant safety measure.
You have to wait for the save to complete 30 seconds to make sure it works. Now, you can exit the game, go to your corrupted save from your console menu and delete it. You can then restart the game in story mode which should no longer be blocked. Enjoy the game, you can relax.

Good evening,
Do you have the game on Blu-Ray disc that you insert into the console, or did you buy the game on the PSN and do you have it on the hard drive of your Playstation 3?

I have this problem too and I've tried everything
1: Disc without scratches and not dirty
2: Delete downloads
3: Delete the game
4: The game does not work in Story and online
5: Does not work even when disconnected from PSN
6: My GTA works at my friend's place
7: I cleaned the lens of my console
8: All my games work except GTA
9: I get stuck in the initial download
10: I want to specify that I have PS Plus, my console is on 4.60, my GTA is on 1.15, I have 52 GB free out of 149
11: I also did the steps that Rockstar suggested, and Rockstar found nothing for me and referred me to Sony for my problem.
Thank you for your precious help :)

I had the same issue, I signed out of PSN, restarted the game, and it started in story mode. I turned off my PS3, turned it back on, signed in to PSN, launched the game, and it started correctly for story mode. Now I just have to try the online mode.
This bug is recurring (Xbox and PS3 versions regardless)!
I personally have the Xbox version, and if I disconnect from Live it works.
Yet this bug is directly related to the profile because a friend resolved the issue by connecting to GTA Online.
I played with my game on my console using this friend's profile who has access to Xbox Live GOLD and is enjoying GTA Online and there was no issue, but as soon as I switch back to my profile (Silver) while connected to Live it crashes during the loading of MANUAL saves!!!
=> Problem related to the profile and I haven't found a solution yet!!!

Good evening Tom,
As I mentioned above, I've had the same kind of problem!
To solve it, do a test: try playing with the patch (without uninstalling it and without uninstalling anything) but simply disconnect from the internet. If it works like it did for me, you'll be able to manually load your saves (and do everything normally) => the problem will thus not come from the patch but from the internet connection!
The solution to this problem is given above.
After that, simply linking the account to the Rockstar Social Club properly and downloading the 2 DLCs should also solve this problem because it worked for a friend who had exactly the same issue (but on 360)
If that's not the case, however, I don't know the solution.

I had the same issue in story mode.
If you’re playing with a headset, I might have the solution to your problem. ^^
So, when I replayed the missions in story mode, everything worked perfectly until I finished the mission.
Then, during the loading to go back to the present in story mode, my screen would freeze along with the sound, except for the loading logo which kept spinning.
Then one day I tried again, but on that day I wasn’t using my headset (Astro A50) but my stereo hi-fi system connected to the PS3, and the return to the present in story mode loaded perfectly. It also worked when I turned off the Dolby button on my Astro A50.
So if you’re playing with a headset, the problem might come from there.
Try either:
- turning off the headset during each loading and turning it back on as soon as the loading is finished
- disabling the Dolby feature on your headset (if you can)
or play with speakers.
The console might have trouble loading GTA 5 with 5.1 or 7.1 audio.
Hoping to solve your problem.

Hello, I'm having the same issue with my save file, but my boyfriend's works just fine (same game, same console). The update has been made!
Here’s what I advise if you don’t have the corrupted save message. First of all, you need the famous update. IT REALLY WORKS, BELIEVE ME. So as they said, disconnect, restart the console and then restart the game still without being connected; it should load one of your saves, and the loading should go through, but to be sure, save and overwrite your save. For safety, create 2 to 3 backups and quit the game to copy your saves to a second user. NORMALLY, the problem is resolved. Remember to regularly make backup copies, since we can assume that some have corrupted saves. Hoping this helps you. Note that dear Rockstar, their manipulations aren’t worth much except for one girl who had the INTELLIGENCE to tell me not to connect. Good luck to everyone.
Hello, following this bug issue, I took my friend's GTA 5 and tested it, and in the end, I had the same problem. So I went into my saved games and noticed that there were several GTA 5 saves on my PS3. I then deleted the saves, leaving only one, and my game launched without any problem. I hope this can help someone here.
Good luck to everyone.

Hello everyone who has the same problem, apparently it's either due to your save or the patch 1.04. In my case, it's the patch 1.04 that is causing my game to bug, and I have no solution other than logging out of the PSN. I'd like to know how to play multiplayer because when I update, my loading gets stuck.
I had a loading issue with my save file on the Rockstar servers several times. My technique is to copy my saves to a USB stick, delete them from my console, and then put them back. Every time it works, I hope I have helped someone.
Mon when I start the game it freezes. I had finished it but my data is gone. When I restart it, it freezes at the beginning.
I had the same problem and I found the solution: launch the game without being connected, then it will ask you to log in: refuse (B=NO), wait for the loading to finish and you will enter story mode without being connected. You can finally log in and then press "start" and load your save (I know it's not very French) and logically it should be fine.
I hope this helps you.
I hope this helps you.

How did you download the updates for the online version?
Hello St Joga,
I don't understand what you mean regarding the social clubs, does Facebook link the two accounts, and if so, how?
