Disappearance of LAYOUT

Hello,

I have a little problem following an action:
In PREFETCH I deleted the LAYOUT file, which is apparently essential for Windows, but I don't know how to recover this famous Layout.
Where is it hiding?
If you have the solution for me to fix this issue and find LAYOUT again, thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    Hello,

    what's funny (not in your story) is that I just cleared the prefetch,

    if you haven't emptied your recycle bin, you're safe.
