Hello,
I just received a DOCX document! (from a future employer...)
my problem: I can't read it??? what program should I use to access it?
thank you for your time, it's quite urgent too :-(
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

DOCX documents are those from Microsoft Office 2007

and I believe you haven't installed Office 2007

either your friend saves it as Word 97-2003
or you install Office 2007
or you will use the post of someone who already has Office 2007 and then open the doc and save as, choose "Word 97-2003 Document"

Thank you very much! It's all good, I managed to do it by downloading Word Viewer (I think that's it lol)

Did you use to work on a PC without office software? not me in any case!!

"Word Viewer" also allows not to have to install other versions of Word like Word 2003 or 2007 or later

Unfortunately!! because you will have to install ("powerpoint, publisher, excel, access......") Viewer for the rest to come!!

No problem... if you don't have Microsoft Office, use OpenOffice. It's free and can read all files from Microsoft products.
