Solved

Hello everyone

I can't open the front panel of my Antec Sonata case
I managed to open the left side, but I'm hesitant to force the right side
If someone could help me, that would be nice

    Hey,

well, after 20 minutes, I managed too... you just have to "think differently"!

In fact, the side panel does NOT SLIDE like on a regular case, you have to open it LIKE A DOOR... with the handle on the left and the hinges on the right.

Tadaaaa, it's magic, it opens! (I won't comment on those who sent it back right away, thinking the problem was with the case... huhuhu)

There you go, your cases just have to hold on tight!

    Thank you

With the left side panel removed, I have access to 3 clips that I pushed in, but it's really holding on the right side

    Thank you

Same issue at my place, the side panel where the little handle is to open the case, well it's stuck, impossible to open the panel, it's stuck big time, nothing to be done lollllllll I’m really disappointed to have bought a case at this price while before I bought cheap cases and had no issues, now I can't open it. Antec France is useless, their website is really very useless, no French phone number, and with Rue du Commerce I spent 35 minutes before they gave me a return voucher at 33 cents a minute, arf!!!!! Furthermore, they do nothing until they have the case, and then I have to wait to see if they repair it or change it, superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Hi leschats,

I'm experiencing the exact same problem as you...
Have you found a solution since then?
Do you think we should remove the devices (CD, DVD, floppy disk drives, ...)?

Well no lol mine is new, there’s nothing inside and it's impossible to open it, so don’t take anything apart.

It's crap, I just received a Sonata III case and it's impossible to open, the two screws are removed, I slide the handle forward, but nothing, it doesn't move...
Did you manage to open it?

I just succeeded right now, I opened the front door, removed the 5 1/4 inch covers (the 3), reached inside while pressing hard against the inner wall and holding the handle open, and I pulled like crazy. And oh miracle, the so-called easy opening opened!
Actually, the top and bottom of the cover are very tight. That's what keeps it firmly on the case.

Thank you, Rovers, you saved me from sending it back for nothing... I was able to open it without any problem by removing the front caches.

Have you removed the screws? Also, check if there’s a security label attached to it; sometimes it's transparent. Otherwise, it should also be removable; you just need to apply a little force. There’s no risk; it’s sturdy.
