Hello, Thank you for your reply, but how can I know if my file has a ppt or pps extension?

The file will have the extension you give it.  .ppt and .pps are strictly identical. It's just that PowerPoint behaves differently depending on the extension.

Right-click on the file, rename.

I think that maybe you don't see the extension, otherwise you wouldn't be asking this question.

In Explorer, go to the Tools menu, Folder Options.
View tab: uncheck the option "Hide extensions for known file types"

I find this option, which is checked by default, to be totally idiotic!
