Hello, I have a Sony RDR GX220 standalone recorder and my nephew accidentally locked the remote while fiddling around in the menus, the little rascal. Now I can’t control the recorder, so I’d like to know if it's possible to reset the remote? Also, can we record the SD cable box with this recorder? Thank you for your possible responses.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, I solved my problems last night: for the remote control, you just need to hold the standby button for a few seconds and it unlocks. And for the cable box, I can record without any issues, so I’m sorry for bothering the site for nothing.

Cool, thanks for your reply. My remote was also stuck; after changing the batteries, still nothing. So I pressed the standby button for a few seconds, then the TV button, and everything got unlocked!
