Missing driver flight simulator X

Hello, I have a big problem. For several days I’ve spent many hours looking for the missing pilot of the mission "pilot missing" with the Maule. I fly over the airfield when the girl tells me to search in the valleys, after a while she tells me to search on the summits, but I still can’t find anything. Could someone help me with this mission please, thank you in advance.

I just redid the mission. For me he is in the same place. N48°12.28 W120°52.26

      I haven't found it yet...
How do you manage to get the exact position?
GPS gives a lot of information, but I can't get the position (latitude and longitude)
In fact, I had to look on Google Earth to see where the place you indicated is. I must say the landscape looks quite similar. Kudos to FSX designers!
Anyway, if someone can say how to make the GPS give the position, I'm interested.
      See you later

By pressing Y to perform a quick move, we get the longitude and latitude coordinates.

      Great, thanks!
But it's still weird a GPS that doesn't provide the aircraft's current position, don't you think?
In any case, I didn't succeed and the doc, which I printed, gives no information on that...
      Thanks again

Hi, I completed the mission but I have the same coordinates as our friend (the message a bit above). I have a problem with another mission: the one where you have to resupply a base camp. After that we’re asked to come back and keep helping the climber. I say yes, but as I go higher up the mountain the engine becomes more and more sluggish and I can’t climb anymore, even though the engine RPM is max, the propeller too, the fuel mixture the same (I did Ctrl+X and even adjusted it myself). I wanted to know if it’s the same for you guys ;)

      hello little wolves

for me it’s the same, I did get the coordinates and I find myself at the foot of the mountain, in the glacier field and no pilot around......I did the small valleys to the left before the field and those on the upper left on the top of the mountain and still nothing...yet I fly at an altitude to clear the treetops...and as a pilot myself I think I have correctly taken the latitude and longitude so if there are others I’m open to it.....for your problem adjust your mix well and use the ascendants on the side of the mountains to climb (fly mountain) but anyway at altitude you have little lift that’s the purpose of the maneuver.....

      I have the same problem.
Unfortunately, the link shown no longer works.
Could someone post an indication of the valley where this missing pilot is located?
      Thanks for the help :o)

        Hello,
Personally it took me quite a bit of time to find the pilot. The pilot's path must be assessed, and we realize that it passes through a valley located to the left of the lake. When you reach STEHEKIN you need to go back the way you came and take the first valley on the right. With a bit of luck you manage to find it. It is the co-pilot who tells us the exact location.

        Hello,
Despite this information I still can’t locate the pilot. Do you have more info (GPS coordinates, map location) at how many nautical miles from 6S9, and what heading?
        Thanks for the reply

Me neither have I found it yet. Worse, I can’t get this {@^[`]# GPS to work...
But well, I’m not losing hope!

I went to the two indicated coordinates, but I found nothing. I searched for 3 hours for nothing, I gave up. This mission is too much bullshit!

I am desperate. I’ve been going in circles for 8 hours. What are these stupid missions with no indication and that never end...

    Hi.

Personally, I still haven't found that darn missing pilot, but I only tried the coordinates given in the first post... My co-pilot told me once she saw him... but not me. All that white maybe... I’ll try the other coordinates.

Good luck to those still searching.

P.S. If you have other coordinates, they’re welcome.

On my side I tried all the coordinates, I followed all the directions and I still haven't found it ><

A quick question for Someone: you said your co-pilot said she could see it; but where?

Good luck to the other researchers ;)

    Hi,

Indeed, this mission is far from obvious; the location of the pilot is random (6 possible positions [4 in the valleys - 2 on the ridges]: I haven’t found more for the moment). A phenomenon to consider: finally it seems that, as long as we have not passed vertically over Stehekin (start of the mission) [Co-pilot message: "..... we are starting the search ..."], the missing pilot is not generated, so you can search for hours and hours... you will never find him. I won’t reveal the positions, but the missing pilot is always within 15 minutes of flight from Stehekin. Anyway, the co-pilot will tell you if you exit the search area.

    Have a good flight.

It's been ages that I've been looking for it; I can pilot it but I can't find it. Try from an overhead view with the red cross; often objects on the ground do something weird, like a bug, blur, or a flicker in the image. If you find the coordinates, please post them.

Hi! Did you find that pilot? because I’m really struggling!! I’m overshooting the aerodrome and then there’s no more mission pointer and I don’t know where to look!!

    Hello rescue pilots,
Have you taken this large valley that curves to the right when returning toward the origin airport? At the start of this valley there is a small lake on the left not far from the big lake. You need to ascend to the top of the valley toward the snowfields (if he is still alive he could not have landed in the trees!) and almost reaching the top you must take a small valley that veers slightly to the left. A campfire will be lit next to the airplane.
Have you looked up where Concrete is located? By drawing a line between Concrete and the destination airport you pass nearby this large valley
    Happy searching.

    Again me,

A little info, don’t fly too high or too low. Stay roughly 500 ft above ground. Hurry up because it’s freezing up there.

      Hi everyone,

      A practical question:
Is the missing pilot still in the same place, or is their location generated (more or less) randomly at the start of each new mission?
In fact, it seems that the clues given don’t all match...
I’ll try this evening after work.
      see you later

    Hi everyone,
Indeed, registahiti is right, there are 6 random places where the missing pilot is located, so the coordinates of these 6 potential locations would be needed and to go around them, which is unfortunately very difficult..
If someone finds all these coordinates, I’m in for it..
    Happy researching

    hello little wolves

for the missing pilot I finally found him, there are several locations but always in the same valley area, either up or down but always in the same corner, that said I had to install a patch for it to work, otherwise I would still be.........

    have a good flight

It must be super easy in simulation because in real life the little maule isn’t always brand new... so it flutters all the time in the breeze... Otherwise for the missing pilot, the best way to detect him is to make circles or S-curves and avoid landing because that’s not professional at all... we’re here to rescue but not to be rescued (1995).
    Good luck, simmers

FIND!!! the first time I installed FSX it was at the coordinates marked in one of the post's replies, but on the second install... nothing at all. I found it at N 48°18.18 W 120°59.92
    smooth flight ;-)

I found it in another valley, me... when you arrive at Stehekin State you keep pushing into the valley, then there’s a large valley on your left, about ten nautical miles further, there is a campfire near odd rocks...

It varies from FSX to FSX... sometimes on the ground, sometimes at the top of the mountain, sometimes in one valley, sometimes in another...

    Hello,

    I found it at N 48°24.72' W 120°58.24'.
It seems there are indeed several possible locations ;-°)

    Have good flights!
