Installation issues (alone in the dark)

I inserted the CD, a window opened offering the .exe and I confirmed, the installation started and it sent me a message indicating that it needed an internet connection. The installation continued and in the end, a window opened where I had to enter the famous code from the book and it connected to the net (but no page opened). After a while, it told me "valid key" (well, something like that) and the installation finished, everything was okay and the game started.

The only thing is that it didn't create an icon on the desktop, I had to look for it under the installation file c/program/atari/aitd.

If it's the latest version, it needs a working internet connection to retrieve a kind of key to validate the game. You have to enter the game code found on the back of the brochure, and it connects to the internet to retrieve this key. I installed it without any problem, and if it's not at this stage of the installation, I can't say more.
