Turn off computer screen when I connect to TV

Hello,

I am able to connect my Acer Aspire 9300 Windows Vista computer to my TV.
I can see the information displayed on my computer screen as well as on the TV.
I would like to turn off the computer screen, if possible, when it is connected to the TV. I have already tried lowering the "turn off the screen after... minutes" setting in the control panel, but it doesn't work.

Another thing, the image is on the TV, but there is no sound. How can I ensure that the sound outputs exclusively to the TV? Is there an option to modify under Vista, or an additional cable to connect?

Hi,
To display only on the TV, it's in your graphics card settings...
For sound, you need either an audio cable connected to the TV or a connection using an HDMI cable.
