PS3 issue without HDMI cable Solved

Question

Hello,

I connected my PS3 with an HDMI cable that my friend lent me! So we connected the PS3 with this cable. However, I later wanted to remove this HDMI cable and restart the console without it, and it won't start: no sound or picture! Could you please tell me the steps to take to connect the console without this cable, i.e., in normal mode?

Hello, if you had read the manual, you wouldn't need help.
In my case, I didn't, hehe.

You connect your PS3 with your cable (not the HDMI one, the other one)
You turn off your console until the red light comes on, you hold the button down, it will beep, then you keep holding the button and 5 seconds later there will be a second beep.

Your PS3 will be reconfigured in terms of display.

Hello, here's how to switch back to "SCART" mode (standard mode)!
You just need to turn off your PS3 and then turn it on again, but you have to hold the power button (so turn it on using the console button and not the controller). Then you will hear a second beep, at which point you can release, and your PS3 will go back to normal mode!
However, make sure to put your PS3 in standby before connecting your SCART cable (normal "VGA" cable) and doing the procedure!
-console off (standby mode)
-press the power button
-keep holding the button
-1 second beep
-release

I have the solution because I had the same problem as you!
Here’s the procedure to follow!

Take your SCART plug and then go to display settings and connect your

HDMI cable, then they will ask which output your PS3 will display on

There will be a list and you choose HDMI at the very bottom, then click on it and

you will have a 30-second delay to change the display click on Ok (X) then

the screen will turn black, switch the output on your TV to HDMI and you should see

the PS3 screen asking if you accept this resolution or not, then click

on ok and unplug the SCART cables and there you go! You have HDMI quality!! Enjoy!
