First of all, don't open your console, unlike what I did. Microsoft doesn't want to know anything about my console anymore... I actually changed the CD drive myself without knowing that every piece of equipment inside your console has a key number and that all of them are identical. The problem is that by changing the drive, it was different, and now it won't read any games. I advise you to call Microsoft customer service and they will tell you the steps to follow...

Pour toute personne qui veut faire marcher la garantie d'une Xbox après avoir dépassé sa limite, il faut lui faire avoir un ROD (3 lumières rouges). Microsoft les change même si la garantie est dépassée, le plus souvent. Mais ils peuvent vous rendre la même.

Hi, well, it’s finally resolved with this technique: (the difference is that I switched from a Samsung to a Hitachi)

Modify a 47D to a 46D (to recognize the reader in my opinion lol).

1) You retrieve the key from the dead 47D by bridging (with Keydrive Xtractor 1.5 for example)

2) You retrieve the firmware from the 46D

3) You copy the key from the 47D into the 46D (with Keydrive Xtractor 1.5) and save the modified firmware of the 46D with the key in a folder c:\46D\ and name it hits.bin

4) You retrieve the files firmcrypt.exe and flashsec_win.exe which can be found in the old extreme firmwares.

5) You go into your folder c:\46D and type:

firmcrypt e hits.bin hitse.bin (e does not represent the reader so don’t change the letter!!)

This creates a hitse.bin file

6) You put your working 46D on your PC, and you flash it with the command

flashsec47_win i hitse.bin 90004000 1000 (i represents the letter of the reader, so change it..... make sure to use HITSE.bin and not hits.bin)
