Excel - Inverse of Concatenate Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

In my column C, I have text that is separated into two by a comma.

Is there an easy way to move the second part of the sentence that is after the comma into my column D?

NB: the number of letters in the sentences varies between the lines (I think I understand that this is important information!)

Hello,  Make sure to have an empty column on the right,  select your column C,  menu 'data / text to columns...', choose 'delimited', button 'next', check ',' and click 'finish'  eric

Hello, here is a possible formula =MID(B5,FIND(",",B5,1),LEN(B5)-FIND(",",B5,1))  My formula only works if there is only one comma in your sentence -- Currently seeking a job

you can also try this:  =RIGHT(A1;LEN(A1) - SEARCH(",";A1))  and if you want to remove the right part, you'll need to create a vbs macro.  Unless you want to create a column with only the left part...

In your column C you have your sentences
In your column D you insert this formula
=MID(C1,FIND(",",C1,1)+1,LEN(C1)-(FIND(",",C1,1)))
to get the 2nd part of the sentence
that's what I understood

But you no longer want column C?

Otherwise
in column D
=LEFT(C1,LEN(C1) - FIND(",",C1))
in column E
=RIGHT(C1,LEN(C1) - FIND(",",C1))
this gives you your 2 parts of the sentence
