Don't believe it, it's often scammers trying to steal your personal data.
Don't answer, or alternatively, file a complaint with the police so they can trace the number:

I just received a call today; it was about tax reductions, but when they told me I had to pay more than €2500 a year, I quickly calmed them down.

Hello, I received the same call today. I answered by asking who was calling, and I was responded to with: "Hello Mrs. ....." my name! Then I heard them say, "Hello Mrs. .... I am polite, I say hello and goodbye Mrs. .... !!!!" I think that if you answer, just picking up the phone to such numbers may result in a charge! So do not answer anymore, I will inquire with SFR, where I am subscribed, and I will report these kinds of calls and scams to consumer protection: these calls probably come from sub-Saharan Africa. I just received that same number. It was supposedly Orange thanking us for our loyalty blah blah blah, saying they were going to offer us a faster connection, blah blah blah...

They thanked us again for our loyalty blah blah blah.... He kept me on the line for 15 or 20 minutes.

Then he called back half an hour later to tell me he had forgotten to congratulate me on my loyalty, first of all, and that he was going to send the new live box for the "pro" service (?) via Collissimo.

He asked for my mobile number (which I did not give)

all this in approximate language and with a thick accent.

It's a premium rate number. They call you to make you call back, and it will cost you X€ per call.
You need to contact Orange, SFR, or Bouygues to block the number or do something about it.

I think it must be a telemarketing platform located abroad, which explains why the reason for the calls is sometimes for SFR, sometimes to reduce taxes, and sometimes something else.
And since the system automatically reschedules a callback if there is no answer or if it's the answering machine, you get more calls that keep coming in.

Well, it starts for me today with the 0100000000, so I looked up who this phone number belonged to and apparently it's a fast food restaurant in Colombe in the 92!!! I didn't try to call this number back because I only picked up once for 5 seconds and there was no one on the line. It keeps appearing on my mobile and then on my landline!!?? I'm going to stay calm for a day, but if this persists I'll go pay a visit to the gendarmerie with the phone number and the information I've found, including the name of the manager of this restaurant!

in my case, it's been about two weeks since the 00101010101 has been calling me every day, sometimes even twice a day. I have never answered because from the first call, it seemed suspicious. They call me on my Free landline, and they've already left a message on the answering machine four times! And I have to say, they are quite... amusing!
They don't exceed 30 seconds and start with a voice that is sometimes male, sometimes female, announcing something like "please hold for a few more seconds" or "thank you for waiting a moment longer." And then a man launches into a magnificent "Hello? Hello hello...?" and it hangs up.
Anyway, this is becoming VERY annoying. From there, I think we have several options. Why not pick up, hurl a bunch of insults at them, and tell them never to call again? Has anyone tried that?
Or alternatively, why not report this issue to a consumer association, or even the police?
What do you think?

so at my place it’s several times a day and for about 2 weeks now, it’s really a pain; I tried to call the number to get someone on the line and explain but the number doesn’t exist..... honestly annoying and it’s messing with my line.... file a complaint?? but against whom and why, no physical presence on the line, nor any words.... NOTHING! I really don’t know how to get rid of it!!!

Has anyone of you recently registered on free classifieds websites (like Le Bon Coin or eBay) where your phone number is listed?
