    Hello,

    In the explorer, under the "Folder Options" menu, in the "File Types" tab, you look for the rar and zip extensions and associate them with the program you have chosen "winrar" and "winzip", most likely by selecting the extension and clicking "Modify".

    @best regards

      Sorry, I didn't quite understand.
      Do I need to select the file first?

    Download WinRAR for RAR and ZIP files.

    Well, you select the extension. This way, you tell Windows that all files with a certain extension, for example "rar," should open with a specific software, for example "winrar."

    Hello, all my office files open with VLC but when I try to open the control panel, there is an alert:

     "No program is associated with this file to perform this action. Install a program or, if that’s already done, create an association in the default programs control panel."

    What should I do? Thank you in advance for your responses.

      And I also forgot to add that when I open "My Computer" it opens "Computer Management" instead. Now to access it, I go through Windows Explorer and click on "My Computer" at the top left. The same goes for my personal folders on the desktop.

    Hello,

    To restore the file extension associations, run this utility --> Version .scr

    Restart the PC.
