Hello,

I simply want to know what the sage's monograph, which you can buy (at least I bought it) in the shops at the beginning of the game, is for. Thank you for your quick response, I need it! (since it costs 25,000 gil after all)

    Hello again,

    I finally found out what it’s for! In fact, the monographs allow you to get extra items from certain enemies. I think that when you have all 7, you’ll have tons of items you wouldn’t have otherwise, and you also gain a lot of arcana. They must be useful, given the cost! Here’s the list of monographs and what you need to do to get them so you can stock up on items ^^:

    1/ Hunter's monograph: Obtained after defeating a Texta (monster)
    2/ Knight's monograph: Talk to a weapons merchant 30 times
    3/ Dragoon's monograph: Examine the notice board 40 times
    4/ Sage's monograph: Talk to a merchant 100 times
    5/ Mage's monograph: Talk to a magic merchant 25 times
    6/ Sorcerer's monograph: Examine the bulletin board more than 20 times
    7/ Scholar's monograph: Talk to a protection merchant more than 15 times

    Note: It’s better to change merchants and boards according to the monograph; otherwise, I believe it won’t work.

      il te manque 1 la monographie qui coûte 250 000 gils et oui c'est cher. je sais qu'il faut vendre trois objets qui en font apparaître un dans les objets. enfin bref j'ai les soluces sur un lien que je garde sur mon pc bien précieusement ne bouge pas^^

      Monographs are accessories that enhance the quality and quantity of items gained from defeating enemies. Each monograph corresponds to a particular type of monster. They appear under the name Ancient Work in the Business menu of shops. However, there are conditions that must be met in order for them to appear.

      Hunter Monograph 18,000 Complete the hunt for Thexta and speak to Gatsly (Rabanastre, Mussul Market) Avians, beasts
      Mage Monograph 21,000 Speak 25 times to a magic merchant Mages
      Sorcerer Monograph 20,000 Read a monster hunt table 20 times Undead, invertebrates
      Scholar Monograph 22,000 Speak 15 times to a protection merchant Artificial
      Dragoon Monograph 22,000 Read a monster hunt table 40 times Dragons, plants
      Sage Monograph 25,000 Speak 100 times to any type of merchant Elementals
      Canopic Vase 250,000 Sell the three items Phobos' Varnish, Horakhty’s Flame, and Deimos' Clay to any merchant All


      To obtain the Canopic Vase, you must sell the Morbid Urn that you get by selling the three listed spoils above. But where to find them, you ask? You obtain Phobos' Varnish by defeating the Gilkhélone (rank III contracts), Horakhty’s Flame by killing Orthros (rank V contracts), and Deimos' Clay by destroying the vengeful Chocobo (also rank V contracts). The canopic vase allows you to obtain arcanas.

    What I know so far after some research is that it's an old work (there are a total of 7) that you obtained by talking to a merchant 100 times (wow!)

    to change weapons, go to equipment, then click on the weapon icon.

    Well, I have Ashe and Penelo at level 22, Fran at 21, and Balthier, Basch, and Vaan at around level 19-20, and I have all the abilities of all the characters. I'm currently in the Temple of Miliam, and I would like to know if I'm at a good level or not. Please respond.

      Your level is a bit too low to play this part of the game; you should be at level 30 to ensure a cooler experience, you know what I mean. See you later!

    Indeed, I'm in the tomb after having defeated 2 "wall" bosses, I've lowered a thing halfway and there's a staircase behind it.

      Hi Hubcioman, I can help you finish it soon.
      When you arrive in the room at the 3 teleports, go to the right.
      Follow the path, and at the end, you'll find the teleporter.
      Press on a ruby, and half will lower to
      reveal a staircase. The boss is a fire titan named Belias.
      Take the water spell to defeat him, then surprise!
      You win the eon.

    Hello,
    I’m stuck on Final Fantasy 12 on PS2, on a quest that seems simple yet I can't find it: let me explain.

    I bought the game 2 days ago and I’m on a quest where I need to talk to Dhalan (sorry for any mistakes with the names), so I go to talk to him in the low city, he gives me a sword and tells me to go see Bash. I go there and Bash asks me to bring him to see Balthier. When I open the map, the hint says: "If I were a sky pirate and I were hungry, thirsty, and tired, where should I go?", something like that (I turned off my PlayStation to post this).

    Hello everyone, I've got Vaan at level 88, Fran and Balthier at level 78, Ashe at level 72, Basch at level 73, and Penelo at level 72. I wanted to know if, with these levels, I could face Yiazmat considering that Vaan wields the Ultima Blade, Balthier has the Ragnarok, and everyone else has a Justicar, and that everyone has a Vitality Belt which doubles HP.     I suggest you level all your characters to 99, lol, and also equip Vaan with the Excalibur
