Hello everyone! ;-)
Well, I have a big problem: I can't play with my friends on Brawl.
CONFIGURATIONS:
PC Config:
- Speedtouch modem connected to Trendnet Tew 432BRP router
WII Config:
- Fixed IP 192.168.1.111 (+10 compared to the PC's IP).
TRENDNET Config:
- Main Menu
http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/3809/tendnetmainxs7.jpg
- Access Menu - Virtual Server
http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/3444/tendnetaccessvirtualseryk4.jpg
- Access Menu - Special AP
http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/2974/tendnetaccessspecialapse7.jpg
- Access Menu - DMZ
http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/8797/tendnetaccessdmzqf4.jpg
SOLUTIONS?
- I received a solution from Nintendo:
"" To solve this problem, you may need to change the Transmission Port settings on your router*. Each router is unique, so please consult your router's user manual or contact the manufacturer. For information:
If you are prompted to enter a device or profile name, enter whatever you like (for example, Wii, etc.).
The starting port to open is 1, and the ending port to open is 65535 (or the highest your router allows).
The protocols should be set to UPD only.
Set the port forwarding IP addresses to the same address as the Wii's static IP
The IP address you assign to the Wii must be 10 numbers higher than that of the PC (for example, 192.168.1.100 becomes 192.168.1.110). The Wii and PC must have different IP addresses. Please note which IP address you will assign to the Wii. ""
I tried fiddling with my router but nothing worked; maybe I'm doing it wrong?
- I got a solution from an internet user:
"" There are indeed some ports to open:
28910 in UDP and TCP
29900 to 29901 in UDP and TCP
29920 in UDP and TCP ""
Again, nothing changed.
QUESTION!
With the images of my router, can someone guide me and explain where and how to open the mentioned TCP and UDP ports?
Thank you! ;-)

TCP: Allow traffic to all destinations on ports: 28910, 29900, 29901, 29920, 80, and 443
UDP: Allow all traffic to all destinations. (Necessary for peer-to-peer connections and game play). Our Network Test tool can be used from a computer behind your firewall to test if outbound UDP is allowed.

If experiencing lags, one solution
https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/connectingOnline.jsp?entryId=manualSetup
"MTU, or Maximum Transmission Unit, specifies the largest unit of data that can sent over the network. While this setting is not generally required for the Wii console to communicate with a wireless network, if you are having trouble connecting or maintaining a connection, setting this value to '1500' may help."
Otherwise in my case I have a LiveBox INVENTEL, here's what I did
- Setting the Wii to a fixed IP (for this, you need to go back into the configuration and manually enter the information found on your PC/Livebox)
- Setting the router's Firewall to “Custom”
- Opening the TCP Firewall ports “28910, 29900, 29901, 29920, 80, and 443” (one by one)
- Port forwarding “28910, 29900, 29901, 29920, 80, and 443” to the IP of my LiveBox
That's it (this is what needs to be done for Peer-to-Peer to not lose speed as well).
Otherwise other Links in French for possible manipulations in case of problems with particular games

(If you would like more detailed help with images of each step I can make a mini site if that helps, just ask in response and I would normally be notified by email) -
Votre WII connects to the internet, but when I search for a player (Mario Kart for example), after a while, error code 86420 appears. Thank you in advance for your solutions, my internet provider is LE NEUF.

Yes, same for Mario Kart and for Pokemon Wii...
It's clear that it's a router problem, but I don't know how to open my UDP and TCP ports...
I've provided images of my router; if someone could help us, that would be great.
Thanks. -

Do you want to open the ports on your router?
It's easy, you type in the address bar 192.168.1.111 (you type what you have, for example, I have a bbox, I type 192.168.1.111bbox) then for the password, you contact your provider. Next, you go to the router's settings, go to nat/natz and open the ports you want
PS: I had the same problem as you ;)
