Can a photo be unblurred? Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,

A week ago, I got married. Today we gathered all the photos taken that day.
However, several photos are blurry...
I would like to know if there is an existing way (a software, an option... or anything else :) )
to recover some sharpness from these pictures.

Myth:  With computer processing, you can unblur a photo, that is, obtain a clear photo from a blurry photo.  Reality: FALSE.  Explanations: The computer cannot invent the details of the image lost due to blurriness. To make an analogy, it's like wanting to get eggs, flour, and sugar from a baked cake: it's impossible!  The details lost due to blurriness cannot be recovered. Existing techniques can improve the visual quality of an image (sharpening edges, enhancing contrast, noise reduction, etc.) but in no way can they reconstruct what is missing. By interpolation, the computer can average certain pixels, but this will only add blur to the blur.  Computers that obtain a clear photo from a blurry photo only exist in movies.

Read  Removing blur from photos is very, very far from easy and the result is never very convincing.  So I would say: don't think about it unfortunately.

Photoshop or GIMP can enhance the details of photos with the sharpen option.  But it depends on the photos. You need to try it out to see.  See you later.

As evidence that one can always surpass the limits imposed by some (though I admit this strays from the initial topic): when one intentionally blurs a photo, this is done using a blurring algorithm. If that algorithm is known, and under certain conditions (such as no lossy data compression, for example), it is possible to recover the original unblurred image with a quality nearly identical to the original image...

Hello, I went to see Charlotte (Secret Story) and my photos are very clear except for 2 that my dad took! On someone's advice, I downloaded "Photofiltre," but when I try to make a photo clearer, it results in an even blurrier image!! What should I do to make it clearer? Can a photographer reduce the blurriness?? Because those photos, as you may have guessed, are not ordinary photos since there is a "star" in them!

I'm sorry for you, but unfortunately, it's impossible to unblur an image, or at least very little and not enough. We (humans) are not yet "intelligent" or "evolved" enough to create this kind of procedure. Unblurring a photo is unfortunately improbable for the moment! But come back in a few years; maybe it will be possible then!! ;D

True, the blur and the image is blurred. But we can improve (a little) and I am surprised that the levels curves were not mentioned; in any case, for your next photos, think about using a tripod and not someone taking them like a tripod.

--I'm coming back to this comment because I've recently discovered the filter "MEDIANE." When used wisely (with low opacity and a mask), it significantly improves defects and smooths faces. With Photoshop, we take the time to enhance contrasts, restore color to the eyes, and darken often distracting backgrounds, making the photo as requested: IMPROVED. That said, there's not one button that removes blur but a series of interventions that can enhance a photo.
