Open multiple image previews in Windows.

Hello,

With my old Windows 98, it was possible to double-click on multiple images in succession to open them all in large format with the Windows image viewer, which was convenient for comparing several photos.
However, now with Windows XP, as soon as I click on a 2nd photo, it opens in the viewer but the previous photo closes. So it is impossible to have multiple photos open in large format.
Is there a way to fix this issue and open multiple image previews? Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP SP3 Firefox 2.0.0.14

You can trick it by pressing Ctrl and then clicking on the image you want to open; you can open multiple images this way, but a dialog window will also open, and if you close it, the first image will disappear as well.

There’s a working solution that I found by chance:

You open an image, put it in slideshow mode, then press the "windows" key (with the Windows icon) and open another photo while the first one is running in the background slideshow. Once the new photo is opened, the slideshow will stop, and you will have both photos open in different tabs.

Repeat as many times as you wish.

For me, it doesn't work, but with right click + preview, it does... :-)

There is indeed a dialog box that appears on the second image.
You just need to move it...

And you can open several images this way,
and the dialog box only appears once,
yes!

5 years after this very useful post: Thank you :-)

Hello,

Indeed, you cannot in my memories, but place the 2 images in the same folder and click on the left or right arrow.
