Rappelz error

Hello,
I installed Rappelz, the updates were done, and when I click on play, it shows me "renderdevice create error." If you could help me, that would be great, and thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hi, I had the same problem as you and luckily I managed to solve it. You need to set your screen to 60 hertz; mine was at 59, so I switched it to 60 and the game started. To do this, you need to go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Graphics Card Control Panel - Change Resolution and set it to 60 hertz. Normally, your game should start.

    Good evening everyone, I had the same problem as you, so after looking a little bit on the net I tried a few things that obviously had no success. I went to my Rappelz config folder (for beginners: This PC / C / Gpotato / Rappelz / config) and in the game options there is a checkbox "Play in windowed mode." Check it in order to play in windowed mode, close everything, and launch, and it WORKS.

    If you receive the error message: RenderDevice Create Error
    here’s how to proceed:

    Start / Computer / C:/ Program Files/ Gpotato.eu/ Rappelz/ Rappelz config

    Then you need to enter your screen resolution in the top left and then choose your refresh rate.

    To find the screen resolution go to:

    Start / Control Panel / Display and there you should find ^^

    For the problem concerning "renderservice create error" that really pissed me off, I've found the solution. In the game folder, there is a file called rappelz-V1.
    1- Cut it and place it on the desktop because that’s the only way you can modify it.
    2- Open it (if it asks with what to launch it, put world to have a real version)
    3- Modify the following things: - winmod change the 0 to a 1 (the game will open with a window)
    - graphic resolution height set it to 800 for a normal screen or 600 for a small one like Inspiron Mini (I've already tried this, it lags too much and it's truly unplayable on a small computer)

    There you go, let me know if it works, in any case, I believe that’s what solved my problem!! And do it quickly f ^^ put the V1 folder back into the rappelz folder or it won't work.

      But the thing is, I have a small computer, so I set it to 600 but it displays a message, and if I set it to 800 it works but only half of the screen is visible.

    The thing is that the problem varies depending on the computer or the person xD I had to put it in windowed mode and everything... basically, you have to fiddle a bit, or at worst, you have to reinstall ^^ (Not the solution ^^) I recommend fiddling a bit with RappelzConfig.exe and then doing some tests ^^

    Hello, I have a problem. I've been playing Rappelz for 2/3 months, but for a few days now, it shows [authentication error [4]] while I am not making any mistakes with my password/ID. I would like help as soon as possible. Best regards

      Found on another forum (he had the same error as you):

      "In the end, I fiddled around in the game folder.. I saw a file called "rappelz_v1.opt", thought it was the options, deleted it, and the game launched correctly"

      Otherwise, on the official forum, they tell you to reinstall drivers + DirectX + Game.

        Hi, I had the same error, render device create error.
        While looking into the options of Rappelz (Rappelz config.exe), I saw that it set the refresh rate to 70Hz while my monitor maxes out at 60Hz, and the resolution was set to that of a 4:3 when I have a 16:10
        By reconfiguring that properly, the game should normally launch without any issues.

    I am here to provide a solution that has worked for me:

    First, I should clarify that I had this error message on my second PC, which runs on XP PRO and has a Radeon 9200 Se video card.

    Like many people here, I tried changing the display frequency of my PC, but it didn’t help.

    I also checked that I was running with directX 9.

    When I wanted to install new video drivers, I noticed a problem.

    I didn’t have the correct version of the framework.
    So I installed framework 2.0 (version 4 exists, but for me, only 2.0 made everything work).
    To find it, just type it into any search engine, download it, and install it.

    Once framework 2.0 was installed, I updated my video card drivers.

    To find out your video card, you need to go to CONTROL PANEL \ SYSTEM \ DEVICE MANAGER \ VIDEO CARDS.

    Type the name of your card followed by DRIVER into a search engine, and you'll get links to find an update.

    So to summarize in order:

    Install FRAMEWORK 2.0
    Install the latest VIDEO DRIVERS for your card.
    And ENJOY.

    Once again, this has worked on Windows XP PRO.

    Hello,

    I have a problem with Rappelz too...
    I have Windows Vista, and when I launch Rappelz, it gives me a black screen and freezes my PC. I have to turn it off with the power button because nothing responds anymore.

    I would like a solution please ^^

      I think that the computer probably doesn't have the capability for it because I can play on a much more powerful computer than the one I'm using right now (but it's being repaired). And if you manage to run it, the graphics will probably be disappointing and won't really make you want to play anymore. Also, playing in windowed mode is pretty annoying. I will continue to search because I have nothing else to do; I'll let you know when I find something...

      to be able to play Rappelz, you first need to download the new drivers for the graphics card and the sound card.
      After installing the game, go to the folder where you installed Rappelz: on the C: drive by default, then into the "program files" folder "Gpotato"

      finally, open the file "RappelzConfig.exe"!

      There, choose from one of the drop-down tabs "custom" regarding the screen resolution.

      that's it.

      You must manually edit the options file (with Notepad), but first you need to move it to the desktop to modify it, because otherwise access is denied:

      -replace the first 2 values with your screen resolution
      (Value 1: Width)
      (Value 2: Height)
