Hello,
I would like to know what Hamachi is used for. I've heard that it's used for playing over a network, but can you play games like Counter Strike on a local network (with Ethernet) without Hamachi? Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 2.0.0.2

Hamachi allows you to virtualize a local network between several remote computers connected to the Internet. It essentially creates a VPN (like you can do with Windows).

    Hey man
Yes, you can use Hamachi to play on networks, but first you need to create a remote network with Hamachi.
Yes, if in Counter the person wants to create the game, you just need to connect to them via TCP/IP and join the game.
Hamachi is pretty good for a lot of other games, Outpost 2 is quite old but fun and complicated lol, Counter and a bunch of others lol.

Tip: when you play on Hamachi, turn off your mule (eMule, LimeWire, antivirus if possible, firewall, and any software that might crash the server)(The server is your friend)(remote network, the server is on the IP address you connect to, which means your friend)

I hope I helped you and answered your questions, if you need anything else, don't hesitate.

Is it dangerous for the computer?

Not at all! You can use Hamachi yourself to do game retrospectives (--> Warning, it's illegal!)!

    Hello Martin,

you can very well play all the games you want online WITHOUT Hamachi! Hamachi is a software that simulates a local network over the internet, allowing you to play with your friends online as if you were local (with added latency of course :) )! There you go

    I hope I was clear!

    Bye

Yes, and what is Hamachi for? LOL, it simply simulates a local network, LOL.
You can also do as you said, but it's good too; there are several ways. After, if the person and their group want to use Hamachi, they can.

You can't write, that's rough. Not surprising, considering you're a Metin player...
