no bootable partition in table : please help me Solved

Question

Hello, I have a friend who just sent me a message saying he encountered a computer bug: the message "no bootable partition in table" appears. I tried to help him but I'm not in front of his screen and he can't find the BIOS setting to modify (in the BIOS), so knowing that he has an "HP Pavilion t 807" or "HP Pavilion t 000" (we're not sure which one is the model), could you please help us by indicating where to go in the BIOS?

You won't believe it: all these problems were due to his USB drive that was left plugged in.

OK, he needs to boot from the XP CD to try to rebuild the boot of his hard drive. He lets XP install its components and then he gets to a window where he's asked if he wants to repair. He types (r) for repair. Then, in the console that appears, he types CHKDSK/r, and at the end of this operation, he types FIXBOOT... --    Sometimes, if we try hard enough... we can SUCCESS.

It's the only one I know of, unless it has 2 hard drives or 2 partitions on the same HD and it starts from the wrong partition. For that, you need to check in the BIOS if the correct partition is the one set for First Boot... A+++ --     Please bear with us, we sometimes succeed... by SUCCEEDING

It's not true.. But where is your friend's head lol. A little more and we would have taken apart his PC. Of course, his PC is bootable from a USB key!! He better adjust his First Boot.... See you later... --  A    to comply with sometimes... we END UP... SUCCEEDING

If you want to go into the BIOS, restart your PC and click on F8 or F2 before Windows starts loading, and you'll see.

Hi, I had the same problem and it gives me the same message no bootable partition in table :-) but luckily I already knew what the problem was!!! It's because of the cold, you just need to put your PC in the sunlight lol I swear it's effective otherwise there's also another solution, you could warm it up with a hairdryer. See you later!  And sorry for my bad French, it's because I only speak Dutch!!!!!!!!

Same problem "no bootable partition in table" with a Lenovo computer under XP. I was scared but indeed I had a USB key. Removing it and restarting once again went smoothly. Thanks for the info, it's cool.

normal because it booted from the USB and it needs to be put on the hard drive
