Hello,
I heard that we need to leave files we downloaded, even in the "sharing" part, supposedly to facilitate the download.
Is that true or not?

Yes, it's better to leave your files downloaded in the shared folder for faster downloads.
You can also share your own files by placing them in this folder.
Did you configure eMule for High ID?
(to download faster)

Well, actually, I'm on a low ID, I need to configure my Livebox, I think.
But someone had already given me a website to configure my Livebox, and I had to change my IP address (I think still^^) and since I'm just a beginner in computers and this isn't my own computer... I'd prefer not to mess with it too much.

Finally, I've managed to configure eMule, my computer, and my router. It's definitely much faster.
So to get back to my questions:
Does leaving files (audio for example) in the "shared" section increase my download speed?
And
I noticed that eMule uses up bandwidth, but what is bandwidth?
And to help those who are on low ID like I was a few minutes ago^^, I recommend this site, very easy to use in the end.

That's what I want to know, whether it's true or not, because I prefer to put my audio files on a USB stick.
I just read on this site that eMule consumes bandwidth, but what is bandwidth?
