Hello.

I have a problem with eMule... In the Local Disk C-Program Files-eMule, there is a Temp folder that contains .part files. I would like to know what these files are for, as they total 18 Go, and whether we can delete them without harming the functioning of eMule or the computer in general?

My PC is running Vista, I'm connecting to my landlord's livebox (with his WEP key) and I'm using Norton... (the Windows firewall is disabled)

Hello Demetra. For your issue with Vista and eMule, there's a modification to be made.
Look for the eMule folder. Be careful, the folder dedicated to programs is called Program Files, even though Vista only displays Programmes. Then right-click on the eMule.exe file, then go to Properties. In the Compatibility tab under Privilege Level, check Run this program as an administrator. There you go, the registration issues are now resolved!

      Hello
I have a problem, my eMule works but when I tried to download from eMule Island, I can't. It shows me this message (Registration error: 001.part.met (Fast.Track.No.Limits.STV.FRENCH.DVDRiP.XviD-XViDFORYOU.LiCoKInE.TeaM.CD2.[emule-island.com].avi) - .part file not found)
If you have a solution, it's welcome. For your information, I am a novice in computing
      Thank you

Hello, I just installed eMule vo.49b and I have Windows Vista Home Premium. When I go to search and click on a movie, it says it couldn't create a shared file, and in transfers, there's nothing. What should I do? Thank you for your help, please.

I had this problem: when I launched Emule under Vista, it said "could not create .part file" and there was nothing in the transfer tab. In fact, I resolved my issue by running Emule as an administrator: everything then went back to normal.

    Hello Sim Sim

The Temp folder of E mule contains the files currently being downloaded. When your download is finished, these files disappear and the final file ends up in the incoming directory that you know well.

      Thank you, it worked! Phew!
      Disconnect eMule, close the software,
then delete the (.part) files in the eMule temp folder.

Hi everyone, I'm taking advantage of your discussion about the part files in temp.
So, I reinstalled XP and installed eMule, but I forgot how to display the names of the files currently being downloaded on the part files when selecting one of them in the temp folder. I did it once, but I can't remember how; it's been a long time. This method is very handy for finding and viewing video files in the temp folder, especially if we have multiple files of the same size. I hope I made myself clear. I know the method of right-clicking on the downloading file in transfers and then clicking on detailed information to know the part file number in temp, but the first method is faster and more practical.
    Thanks everyone!

Sometimes during a crash, the ongoing download stops and doesn't restart, which can result in a temp file that's too large.
All you need to do is delete everything, and our friend Vista will prevent us from touching those used by eMule.
