Excel file conversion to QIF (Money)

Hello,

I installed an add-in in Excel to convert .xls files to .qif files that are used by Money. In fact, this add-in is a macro (see the link: http://xl2qif.chez-alice.fr/xl2qif_en.php

Well, I have the menu in Excel, but the "save to qif file" option no longer works. It's strange that the others still work. Can you help me?

Thanks,

Leo.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

On the same site, other macros are available.
I tested XLtoQifConverter and that one works very well.
I couldn't get xl2qif to work.

If you open both applications and copy-paste from one file to the other, doesn't it work? (It works between Word and Excel, as long as you don't select entire pages since the dimensions are different...)

Thank you for your help Arrial, but it still doesn't work. I created another file and I copied and pasted as you told me, but in the end... nothing.

What is surprising is that in the XL2QIF menu in Excel there are 4 options: "save to QIF", "Load from QIF", "Support" and "About". The only option that doesn't work is the first one. All the others work. What is there in the first special option?

See you soon,

If I understand correctly, it's only your macro that isn't working anymore!
The problem being related to this macro, perhaps you should first try to refresh it? Try reinstalling it.

Thank you once again, Arrial.

I had already done it and it still doesn't work...

Well ... it's probably a macro that's too specialized for me.
But you can post it on the "bureautique" forum where there are experts in VBA. Make sure to give your topic a clear title!
... I tried your link, but it doesn't work ...

Thank you again for your help, Arrial. I will post this topic on the office forum as you advised me.

Here’s the correct link: http://xl2qif.chez-alice.fr/xl2qif_en.php

See you later.

OK, the new link works...
Of course, you saw that there's v1.0 for 97 and v.11 for more recent versions.
I'm wary.
Excel started with its own macro language.
It then moved on to American VBA,
then to French VBA,
and finally to a hybrid version.
These transformations didn’t happen without bugs...

I’m not loading the macro, as I don’t have any use for it. But have you tried editing and controlling it? [Alt + F11]

Yes, I took the more recent version. The macro is password protected, so I can't edit it. Did you see the link I sent you on the FAQ? They are already aware of the problem, but they aren't providing a solution.
