Bonjour,
voilà, mon anti-virus Panda à détecté ce virus ou vers, enfin, ce truc "w3/ nuwar.SO.worm 
Apparement, il me le signale, mais ne me le supprime pas... comment faire pour m'en débarasser à tout jamais... 
Je possède Window Vista anti-virus Panda.

Hi, first disable panda anti-virus, and then, copy the file wininet.dll from other computer running windows vista to the Windows\System32 directory.

restart your computer with your panda disable, and your computer will start normally. then, enable again your panda antivirus.

i use windows vista with panda 2008

I have the same problem, here in Italy.

I've problems to put the file wininet.dll in the infected notebook because the worm block the access to everything.

I try to attach the notebook to another resource...replacing the file, are you sure that the computer does it work again?

Hi, I am having this problem aswel since Panda just got updated, I really need my pc back and running with my programmes working asap. I can barely do anything since most programmes won't run. Where can I get a vista wininet.dll file, and neither can I get into the directory of any folder.

Hi I got my Vista back in work...

First of all you must have another copy of wininet.dll. (Hope you have a computer with Vista without Panda)
After that you must have a file management program like VolkovCommander that don't need windows components. Get a copy of "Hirens Boot CD" there you will find all the usefull programs that a PC owner needs...
After that make sure you have disable Panda antivirus.
Copy the the file from CD, Diskett, USB stick or where you now have it...
Reeboot...

Wait for a update from Panda. 

I am sure that Panda or MS will get out a fix asap.

Hey Lansen, I have a laptop with xp but no vista. What do I do next? And is Hirens Boot CD really needed? Or else cant anyone like upload a wininet.dll file from vista or something. Cause this really sux big time.

This is the solution for now. But you cant use XP wininit.dll.

Panda 2008 a détécté un virus cet après-midi à 17H00 sur mon pc prinicpal sous vista.
Il s'agit de W32/Nuwar.SO.worm.
Emplacement C:/windows\winsxs\x86_micro..\wininet.dll

Après l'opération de désinfection, mon PC se bloque sur tous les programmes car il ne trouve pas en premier message "wininet.dll"
Après opération analyse complète, il trouve un deuxieme virus qu'il ne peut pas réparer 
Emplacment : C:\windows\winsxs\backup\86_microsoft-..

dès que je veux faire quleque chose , il apparait une message ".....-Composant introuvable " car WININET.DLL est intrrouvable.

Il me propose  la réinstallation pour corriger le problème.

Avez vous une solution à court terme.

You don't need any fancy external foldernavigating programme or anything, you can simply copy it to the right dirrectory using dosprompt:

-Insert USB-key (if that is what you are using)
-Open the dos/commandopromt / whatever it is called from the start menu.
-type: "copy F:\wininet.dll c:\windows\system32", if the file is located in F:\. Else point it wherever it is at.
-It will tell you that it copied one file, if it is done right.
-restart computer.

This should work.... hopefully.

Following what it says: 
I have updated my Panda. Now I am performing a new analysis and does not find any viruses in wininet.dll. So maybe it was a transient error that they have already corrected.

To get your original wininet.dll back, not only you can copy it from another windows, but also you can also restore your system to a point in the past, previous when you did the desinfection. After this you should do a new scan to make sure that there are no viruses in our PC.

Para recuperar el wininet.dll, aparte de copiarlo de otro ordenador, se puede hacer con la utilidad de restauración de Windows, a un punto anterior a cuando se hizo la desinfección que borró el wininet.dll, a mí me ha funcionado restaurándolo a una copia de ayer. Después de esto se debería hacer un nuevo escaneo para asegurarnos de que no hay virus.

Ok this is a way to fix this.

You need Vista installation CD. 

Run "System File Checker" and with the cd it will fix the problem.

First disable Panda. 

To run system file checker you need to start the command prompt.  Choose "run" and write cmd and then type type "sfc /scannow". Then put in the Vista disk when it ask for it. (if you have UAC on you will need to start the prompt with ctrl, shift, enter) 

Ok good luck. But remember to have Panda disabled until they have put up fix for this. The fault is in the signature file so a new file will soon be released I think.

Ya se como acabar con este problema! Debeis restaurar el sistema (Ir a inicio -> Accesorios -> herramientas del sistema -> Restaurar el sistema) De este modo debeis restaurarel sistema una semana antes, asi el virus nunca se abra creado en vuestro ordenador y así nada de esto os ocurrira ( Si habeis instaladp algo en la última semana se os eliminara con esta restauración). Cuidaros. Si necesitais algo mas, enviarme un email i mañana por la tarde os lo contestare. =)

but when i tried to open the map directory i got an error 
but word was stil working sow open a word document pres "ctrl+O" (or open file) go to the place wher you saved your wininet.dll select it and clik richt copy then you can go to your C:windows\system32 map and click richt and paste the file now you restart your computer and the drama is over

Même probleme que toi le 07/04/2008 à 15H34.
Pas de connexion à Internet, pas de possibilité de mettre une clef USB ou d'utiliser le moindre programme.
Donc j'ai lancé une restauration des fichiers et parametres système en passant par rechrecher puis restauration puis j'ai suivi la procédure. J'ai choisi un point du 06/04 mais tous mes fichiers on été sauvegardé.
Puis redémmarage du PC sans problème, par contre pour la msie à jour de Panda, je vais attendre demain qu'il sorte un correctif. allez bonne nuit

J'ai eu la même chose sur mon DELL XPS M1330, avec Vista et Panda.
J'ai donc dans un premier temps récupéré sur une clé USB le fichier wininet.dll sur un autre PC sous le répertoire C:\windows\system32\
Ensuite j'ai rebooté l'ordi, il m'a demandé s’il faisait une réparation system, il me dit oui et il me restaure la PC....
Ensuite je récupère mon CD de OUTIL DE REPARATION de panda que j'avais fait en 02/2008. Donc reboot avec ce CD, il analyse me trouve le virus et le supprime....
Ensuite je reboot l'ordi, et je fais un scan avec panda, il me signal dans système 1 Infecté mais le désinfecte pas....
Pour l'instant panda scan....
En // je télécharge un onliner scanner sur https://www.kaspersky.fr/?domain=webscanner.kaspersky.fr pour le lancer dès la fin de panda...
A cet instant, je ne sais pas si mon ordi est ok...

Bon,

c'est la galère, je vous écrit de mon 2eme pc qui lui n'est pas planté. Sur mon 1er pc, j'ai copié wininet.dll dans le repertoire c:/windows/system32 en passant par word car je n'avais pas acces au repertoire. Et depuis quand j'ai redémarré, il me met un message d'erreur concernanr internet explorer et c'est un message en boucle....

que puis je faire, dois je formater avec le cd d'installation de vista...je suis dégouté.

salut, j'ai aussi attrapé le virus W32/Nuwar.SO.worm, j'ai windows vista, j'ai une version d'évaluation d'un mois de panda antivirus. J'ai fait un scanner avec panda qui m'a trouvé aussi le virus W32/Puce.E.worm. 
J'ai également le message d'erreur: composant introuvable  "Cette application n'a pas pu démarrer car WININET.dll est introuvable. La réinstallation de cette application peut corriger ce problème."
Je ne peut presque plus rien faire sur mon pc.

Après avoir lu vos messages, j'ai essayé de remettre le fichier wininet.dll sur mon pc mais il est supprimé pas panda qui repère soit disant ce fichier infecté par un virus.
J'ai donc pris avast et fais un scanner au redémarrage de mon pc, il m'a trouvé un virus sur panda, WIN32:CTX. Il est sensé l'avoir supprimé mais après une nouvelle tentative de remettre wininet.dll, à nouveau bloqué par panda, je m'aperçoit qu'il y est encore.
De plus, j'essaie de désactiver panda mais il se réactive tout seul. J'assaie aussi de le désinstaller mais un message d'erreur apparait et cette désinstallation s'arrête.

Aie aie aie, ca s'empire...

Pour l'instant, j'ai essayer de restaurer le système à la date d'avant la mise en place de Panda Internet Sécurité "Méga protection !!!)... (que j'ai installer seulement au mois de mars..). Avant il y avait Norton Sécurité. La restauration c'est fait complètement qui n'était pas passible avec les restaurations contenant Panda.. Il était noté que la restauration n'avait pas été complète...
Donc aujourd'hui, j'ai supprimé norton, réinstaller la version complète de Panda... Il me retrouve un virus qu'il n'élimine pas il le notifie seulement et c'est dans :
c:program files\myphotobook\extras\process.exe
ce n'est plus le meme qu'hier....
Alors je ne sais plus très bien à quoi il correspond...
Mais bon, comme c'est un ordi très récent avec pas trop de données dessus, je vais formater les disques ainsi que le réinstaler d'usine.. comme ca.. plus de virus j'espère....
Dites moi quand meme ce que vous en pensez...

Oui ça a marché pour moi.
ça ma pris 2 heures de prise de tête car il demande de taper 2x panda, tu tapes une fois panda et la 2ème fois tu dois la taper mais les lettres ne s'affiche pas, et appuyer sur enter.
