Hello everyone !!!!

Sorry to bother you but I have a problem I can’t solve ..... I have a friend who installed Call of Duty 4 ...But when I want to launch the application an error message appears such as: Error during initialization. Couldn't load file Syscheck.cfg. Make sure Call of Duty is run from the correct folder ... And from there it won’t start!!! I don’t know what to do anymore !!!!! If you could help me that would be very nice

IN STEAM: Right-click on Call of Duty in either the Single Player or Multiplayer mode, then go to Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files... Steam will verify if any game files are missing, then download and replace them. Everything should be fine!

        Hello anyway PangolinCraintif19

        Thank you for saying hello

Please do not reopen a very old discussion that has nothing to do with your problem.

If you don't have Steam you shouldn't have a game that requires a file installed by Steam. Your game is almost certainly meant to be used with Steam, or it is not "legal" sometimes "corrupted" or there are still things poorly uninstalled on your PC that still require Steam, sometimes the system needs to be cleaned sometimes Windows needs to be reinstalled cleanly reinstall the necessary programs, and Steam to use an official game that requires a file installed by and for Steam.

Hello everyone, you didn’t find the solution, did you?
On my brother’s PC we have the same problem, I checked a lot of things, nothing works. It worked before, and suddenly, we don’t know why, this error occurred. Couldn't load sys.check.cfg. On my own PC, it isn’t there either, yet it works.
If I use a no-CD, will it work? SP / MP? Where do I find it?
