Hello,
I have a Cherokee 9000 NG4 that I'm not currently using, so I would like to know if it's possible to receive TNT by connecting it only to my rooftop antenna. If so, how do I install the channels?
Thank you very much in advance!

Good evening, I have a Cherokee 9000 NG4 and I'm having trouble updating it for TNT channels.
Please send me the latest updates. -
Hello everyone.. I live in Algeria and I just bought a Cherokee Maestro 9000 NG4 terminal - December 2011 - I haven't done any flash and I receive channels such as TF1, M6, France 2, 3, 4, 5, Arte, TMC, NT1, W9, Game1, Cartoon Network, TCM, 4 Nickelodeon channels... all MTV... VH1... etc. that broadcast on the Astra satellite at 19 degrees.

Alright, let's stop the nonsense lol, a lot of people talk without knowing much, so let's start from scratch:
TNT: digital terrestrial television, you need either a decoder (demodulator, as decoder is a term distorted by manufacturers) TNT or a TV with a TNT decoder, to be in a covered area, which is increasingly common, and an antenna that is sensitive enough to receive. Just because your friend has the same antenna as you and receives doesn't mean you will too, so pay attention to that.
TNTsat: it's a distortion of the name TNT made by the Canal group, you need a satellite dish (at least 45 cm depending on the location), a TV obviously, and a certified TNT demodulator, and the scam lies here. Why do I call it a scam? Because a decoder, whatever it is, costs at least €40, and you can even find cheaper ones. But Canal has no right to charge for access to TNT channels (TNTsat) as stated above, so Mr. Canal together with some manufacturers like Sagem thought, how can we charge the fools who do not have access to regular TNT, and then eureka, let's make specific decoders that cost €40, we'll give them a card valid for 4 years and sell it for €120 like this there's no subscription and it's legal, but in reality of the €120 you pay €40 for the decoder and €60 for access to TNTsat for 4 years, which is only €1.25/month I agree, but the question being asked today, and I've been on this for a year with my store, I want a standalone TNTsat card how do I do that, and Canal responds it’s not possible, and here they are breaking the law because all access cards can be at the customer's choice with a decoder or without.
The second problem, what do we do in 4 years (it’s been more than a year since the cards have been issued)? Well Canal simply replies we’re not there yet.
The third and final problem, tomorrow Canal changes the encryption of the "TNT" channels because of piracy, what happens to the decoders at €120 and does Canal commit to sending a new card to those who bought it, they don’t answer that either.
So there you go, TNTsat = scam = concealed subscription.
So I say long live the dreambox because you can do everything with it ;)
Good luck to everyone! -
On a an NG4 9000 with the correct .bin flash file. You retrieve all the TNTSAT channels without any issues.

Hi everyone, I have a Cherokee Maestro 9000 NG4 terminal, and I flashed it to a version where I can pick up channels like TF1, M6, France 2, 3, 4, 5, etc., which transmit in Viaccess, and channels like TCM, Sport Digital, AXN, which transmit in Cryptoworks.

Hello, thank you for the reply: please 2 questions; does the Lamine file include 4 folders, should they be entered one by one? Once flashed, does the NG4 receive TNT on Astra without a card?
See you + -

Hello, I have a Maestro 9000 NG4 with a satellite dish that I was using for TPS, so the dish is pointed at Hotbird.
I would like to know if it is possible to receive TNT with this decoder and the dish by pointing it at Astra. If so, do I need to flash the decoder? What should I do?
Thank you in advance. -
Hello everyone
I believe that terrestrial TV is free when you have a decoder, so why subscribe? -
Hello, you shouldn't confuse TNT (free via terrestrial broadcast, but you need to be in the coverage area) and the TNT channels that can be received via satellite with a subscription (more or less expensive depending on the number of desired channels). Thus, there are two distinct decoders for either option. Also, please note that all TVs sold since May 2008 must have a TNT decoder (it's the law), but it will only work via terrestrial broadcast, so if you are not in the coverage area, you will need another decoder (but for TNTSAT).

Hello,
I don't agree with what you're saying, because I know two people who have a Sagem Satellite receiver with a card delivered for free & they can receive TNT + the local FR3 channels for free.
French law requires service providers to decode TNT channels for free.
As a result, with a Cherokee 9000 NG4, you just need to buy a card, but where can you find one? -

This satellite terminal is not suitable for T.N.T ... it is only good for the free channels of the different satellites and for decrypting, thanks to its integrated Deltacrypt dual reader, the Canalsat and Canal Plus bouquets as well as Bis TV, and only with a single valid and up-to-date card, not in terms of rights renewal..
It does not work, in principle...., with a Tntsat card
tntsat is long and complex to re-explain: https://www.jechange.fr/telecom/internet

I don't believe that the NG 4 is a device certified by Viaccess, let alone a Canal Ready (TNTsat) or a Fransat, so it doesn't serve much purpose for paid content, except for Bis TV, and even then not for updating monthly rights.
In conclusion, it only works for free satellite channels. The ideal demodulator would be a multisat Fransat Viaccess. -

Hello, so we read everything and its opposite, I would also like to receive TNTsat on this NG4, Thefox: can you give me a bit more explanation about the method to use (my decoder used to work with the 39 canalsat card)
thank you
