Hello,
I created plans using Architect 3D version 2001. These old files are stored in wds format. I now need to submit a building permit for an extension of the same structure and require a sectional view that this old version cannot produce. I downloaded the platinum CAD 2008 version. What are my chances of being able to use the files created with version 2001 and not have to recreate everything? Is it possible to convert them to pro, phd, psh format? I noticed that with this new version, I could import a dxf/dwg file. If necessary, can I convert my files to this format? If so, how?

I used the 2000 and 2001 versions; the later versions do not include the files created by these versions. Sorry.
In fact, you just need to right-click on the old file (the .WDS) and choose "open with..." then select "3D Architect Pro" (which might be called ArCon.exe on your PC).
When opened, the plan is imported exactly as it is. You may at most encounter a few warning messages like "Some windows could not be loaded correctly and have been replaced with similar windows."
Best regards
