Hello everyone,
I'm posting this topic here because I don't see a more appropriate one (maybe the software forum?), but it's not directly about burning...
So, I've got an ISO image on my hard drive that I created from a DVD to burn it later. But since then, I've bought a Divx home player, so I no longer burn on DVD but in Divx (for economic reasons—it takes up less space!)
Does anyone know if you can directly convert ISO to AVI?
If I have to burn the DVD first to then convert it to AVI, that would be completely pointless...
(since I'd have to use 2 DVDs...) So far, I’ve only found this "solution" on the web...
Thank you for your help!

An ISO file is an image of a disk. It must be mounted to create a virtual disk, which will allow access to its content. Then this content can be converted to AVI if it is a video.
To mount the ISO image, you need to use daemon tools.
This will be like having the DVD in the drive! From there, you just need to use an encoding program:- For example, Handbrake if the file is in a format other than .AVI
- Or DVD shrink if it is an ISO image of a DVD.
