Hello,
I am looking for a very old song that my mother used to sing. Today this melody haunts me. I can't find anything since I have neither the author nor the title. Here is what I remember: Crying at your knees I implore you oh my mother, you wanted it I obeyed, I have no choice but to die.......... and it was obviously sung by a woman. It may date from the 1930s/1940s.

When a young girl gets married, the whole family is on their toes
the morning of the ceremony, everyone hurries to dress her
her father puts on her ankle boots, her sister puts in the curlers
and it's her mother, as you can guess, who sticks the orange blossom in her hair
she tells her I want it everywhere
more more
I want plenty in my hair, I want it from head to heels
of those little buttons that smell so good
more more
so that everyone can see I’ve stayed pure
my dear Hector will like it, please put in more... more
All day long there’s a feast and in the evening after the meal
with frenzy we dance, polka, scottish and mazurka
the bride doesn't miss a beat, and her poor husband is exhausted
and especially to add to his misfortune, her shoes are crushing his feet
she steps on his corns, telling him Hector
more more
I will dance all night long, it feels so good to whirl, to sway all entwined
more more
??? spin me faster
well sorry I don’t have much time left... if I think of it I’ll be back

Is there a sequel? If one day you have the time and think about it...
And if you know the songwriter...
I really appreciate you for searching and responding. I was no longer hoping for an answer!
Have a good evening and big hugs! Bullou83

charming, sung by a 90-year-old grandfather who was my husband's grandfather
I'm looking for the exact lyrics of this song
I only have them through his mouth

it's the first time I've seen someone else in my family talk about this song
