SIMS 2 Castaways, Screen Size Issue PC

Hello,

I just installed The Sims 2 Castaway on PC (running on Windows VISTA) with a 19 or 20" screen. The game installs well and starts fine, but it appears in a window of about 12 or 13", making it impossible to play as it's very hard to read. The icon (in the top right corner of the screen) to maximize the window indicates that it's at the maximum.
What should I do? Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    In the game, go to the graphics settings and check the fullscreen mode.
