Copying formula issues in Excel

Hello,
I have a problem, maybe you can help me.
I have a calculation formula in a table.
But when I copy it down, it rewrites exactly the same result even though the data in the formula is not the same.
If I set
A1=1 and A2=2 so A3=A1+A2=3
B1=2 and B2=4 and when I copy the first formula in B3 it still shows that B3=3

Thank you for replying
Configuration: Windows NT 4.0 Internet Explorer 6.0

    Go to Tools/Options, you should have a calculation option that is not properly configured...

    To recalculate the entire page, press F9...

      I had the same problem in Excel 2007: it's a calculation option that unexpectedly switched to 'manual' instead of automatic.
      To fix it: - go to the top ribbon of the Excel sheet:
      - tab Formulas /
      - then 'Calculation Options' /
      - then click on Automatic

      Indeed, the 'manual' option prevented immediate automatic calculation; you had to press F2 on each result cell.
