Hello,
actually I want to install a software for a game (jsgme for SH4) and the tutorial says to install it in the root directory of the game
heh the term doesn’t mean anything to me and I just want to know if it’s the command C:/windows/programfiles/SH4 or if it’s something completely different. that’s all thanks!!

Hello,
the following term "root directory of the game" means the following.
Example
Let's say your game is installed under: c:\program files\sh4\
The root directory of your game will be: c:\program files\sh4\
So you will need to select, when installing your addon, the directory "c:\program files\sh4\"
Note: If your game is installed on "c:\sh4\", you will select "c:\sh4\"
Is this explanation sufficient, or would you like more details?
Let’s say it remains quite logical in itself.
Wishing you a good day
