Put two photos side by side

Hello,

Could you explain to me how to put two pictures side by side in a document so I can save it on my computer?

I have Windows XP and Photoshop 7

I have two portrait photos saved on my computer and I want to create a document with the before and after picture next to each other.

How should I do this?? I'm not very skilled... so please don't skip any steps

    First... Create a file. The size you want. Usually, 640x480.

    Open your first image. File => Open => Location of your image.
    Once opened, take the selection tool. And select your photo completely.

    Go back to your 640x480 page... edit>copy, on the background layer
    Same for the second image.

    If you want to resize your images... Select the layer. CTRL+T. For a manual resize.
    Same for the second layer.

    Then take the move tool and place them as you like.
    You can adjust the color of the photo. Image>Adjustment>Saturation. For the black and white effect or other.

      Ciril's response is from February 2008, the issue is resolved and on a Mac, Photoshop works the same way as on any PC...
