Hello,
I’m looking for the interpreter of this old song “Ne pleure pas petite Alda.” I believe it’s by a Caribbean singer. Does that ring a bell for you? Thank you in advance for your responses.

The name of the group is Los Matadores, who also sing with Alice Lachaut "Ma petite maman", "Je viens de très loin" and unfortunately many others.

Alda is her daughter, as well as Monique. I was a student of this charming (PAPERI) in Joffreville;
My mother has some records from the group and is currently in Sambava.

The Saigonnais orchestra and the singer were MAURITIANS! I had nicknamed the singer "FALOU MAMA," a MAURITIAN expression he often used! I also knew DOMINIQUE and ALDA well when I was in PROTET in DIEGO. It seems to me that the PAPPERI now live in ITALY, the home country of the owner of SAIGONNAIS; his wife was Indochinese. The emblematic song of the GROUP was: AU SAIGONNAIS, all the crews of the ESCORT AVISO on site knew it.

Anecdote: When the music is credited to Mr. Paperri, it is actually the Brazilian saxophonist Barbossa who transcribed the tune whistled by Mr. Paperri. The Saigon establishment where the group Les Matadorres performed was a family business - the daughters worked there right after graduating high school - that included a hotel, a restaurant, and a dance hall.

Hi,
I saw somewhere that this person was singing, you never know! "MR Paperi" -
Alda is sung by Los Matadores, created by Mr. Paperi. I'm also looking for the song I come from very far by the same group. http://www.zomare.com/mp3-45-tours/Los-Mata/jeviensde.mp3

You can contact me at bwirth@free.fr so I can send you the song "ALDA" by Los Matadores in mp3 format.
Reminder: LOS MATADORES is a Malagasy group that performed at the SAIGONNAIS in Diégo Suarez from the years 70 to 75. The singer of the group is JAOJOBI (the owner of the SAIGONNAIS is Mr. PAPPERI, a former legionnaire).
Sincerely,
Bernard -
