Here is the procedure to follow if you have 3 boxes or more: A, B, and C.

    - Choose a box that will be the "reference," here box A.
    - Connect A to the Freebox and to 220V. At this point, the Freebox must be powered on and functioning (internet available via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi)
    - Take B and synchronize it with A: plug B into 220V, if possible, B should be in the same room as A and not on a power strip. Then press the black button on A for 1 second, and as quickly as possible, press the black button on B for 1 second. The LEDs will blink and stabilize after about 15 seconds. If the operation is successful, then A and B will display orange AND yellow without blinking. This means that the internet is available by plugging B anywhere in your house. If this operation is not successful, there is no point in continuing.
    - Only unplug B. Plug C in place of B. Repeat the previous operation with A and C. It must be successful. If you have other boxes (D, E), continue with A and D, then A and E.
    - A remains always connected to the Freebox and to 220V. You can plug B, C, (D and E) anywhere, and the internet will be available on them.

If you cannot synchronize between A and B, you can try resetting the boxes by pressing the black button for about 15 seconds.

Well, it's been a year since everything has been working fine and I've never resynchronized my freeplugs, and now for a week they won't sync anymore.
I've tried everything, but nothing works; only the green LEDs stay on.
Have you ever changed your freeplugs?

I don't have a powerline adapter sync button and I've just bought a powerline adapter that I can't sync with the others, which synced automatically.
Is it a problem if they are from different brands?
I really don't know how to sync them!!!
    Could someone please help me?

    Hi!
My problem is that I've pressed this button so much that I've broken it!!!
And now there's no way to sync it!!!
Is the repair on me or not!?

Am I responsible for the repairs or not
      :-(
      Of course.
But you don't say that the button is broken; you just say that it has no effect, that you can't synchronize the freeplug, and that you want an exchange.
Since there will probably be no repair, just a straightforward exchange, the powerline modem you send back will probably not be checked.
It's up to you to be discreet and persuasive enough.

    Hello everyone,

I just have a question: do I have to buy freeplugs to make my HD box work with my FB?

Or can I buy any pair of powerline adapters (Belkin, Netgear...)

    Thank you in advance.

it's rather that the freeplugs are delivered for free, so why buy them?
or maybe you've had your freebox for a long time.

HD synchronization problem in phase 2 and surge protector box

I received my HD yesterday. History:

    - synchronization of the two powerline adapters on the same outlet without any issues
    - ADSL startup without any problems
    - installation of the HD on the TV in a distant room
    - phase 2 is dragging on...
    - attempted synchronization of the two powerline adapters at a distance, without success
    - attempted synchronization in a part of the house that is "electrically closer" to the ADSL (same panel, same differential circuit breaker) without success
    - mulling it over... If it doesn't synchronize, it means a filter is preventing the HF from passing between the two powerline adapters...
    - Eureka! it's the surge protector box that protects the PC and the ADSL Freebox
    - plugging the ADSL powerline adapter before the surge protector filter and it synchronizes
    - replugging to the TV, initialization without issue, at the cost of safety in case of a storm.
    - Nobody is perfect!

    Best regards, Jbz

      Indeed,
some low-quality surge protectors with capacitors instead of spark gaps are a real trap for powerline communication (PLC).
Surge protectors should not be placed on a PLC installation, or if they are used, they should be located at the meter or rather at the point of entry to the main panel.
There are surge protection modules to integrate into the electrical panel.

    Hi everyone,

I ordered the freeplug so I could watch TV channels on a second TV (freeplug for free). However, I later found out that for it to work, I need to buy another one, so I ended up spending 40€. Now I have two freeplugs (as the manual says you need two for it to work), but I absolutely have no idea how to connect both satellites to the Freebox, I'm lost. So now I have two TV boxes, two Freeplugs; do I need a third one to be able to watch TV on another TV? I remind you that I have been with FREE longer than Rodolphe and I have never had a freeplug. Anyway, I'm drowning, if anyone can tell me how to do this T_T thanks

      Hi,
Rodolphe understood everything, but probably not you.
To have 2 TVs (2 HD boxes) on the fbx, you need:
      1- a sufficient bandwidth
2- to subscribe to the multi-TV option (in fact, not everything is necessarily included).
If you have the multi-TV option, you leave your first HD box connected as is; it doesn't change anything for it whether you have freeplugs for the second one or not.

Hello, so for my part I have issues too T_T
I'm with Alice, which we all know (or maybe not) is a "sub" brand of Free. Anyway, I received everything, set up the plugs, configured the router... blah blah etc., and it worked perfectly, magnificent glory to J. But here we are, it was too good to last. For quite some time now, after a few power cuts (I live in an apartment) and not using the TV internet much because it's rubbish (and yes, the Alice TV offer is honestly crap, although they provide me with the best possible speed), I thought, hey, I'll restart everything. So, back to the plug sync, and here comes the drama. First, I only have the green LED that lights up, the orange one only lights up when I reset the plug and goes off after 10 seconds. When I try to sync, apart from the green LED flashing for thirty years, there's nothing really exciting happening, and it doesn’t sync at all. So I'm thinking about whether one of the powerline plugs has gone bad...

I solved my problem of no internet connection with two D-LINK 306AV powerline adapters. I plugged them into the same power strip, then I pressed the button on each one simultaneously, switched their positions, and yay, it works!

Hi everyone, I just received my Freebox Revolution and the CPL communicates but doesn’t transmit data...
It's normal, they're new but the Ethernet cable is messed up, the 4 pairs (which I checked one by one) one pair is broken, so the solution is to use another RJ45 cable and forget about the one that came with the power supply... and everything's perfect.

Yes, exactly, the network cable from the freeplug is defective.

      So the symptoms are:
      - 2 freeplugs are connected and the LEDs are green
      - However, there is no sync, the player indicates that there is no connection.

You need to check at the back of the player and/or the Freebox if the network ports are green and blinking. If not (for example, on the Freebox, or nothing blinking on the Network Hub), you need to unplug both network ends of the Freeplug (while leaving the power cables connected) and replace them with the network cable provided by Free.

      And then it works.

      Good luck to everyone!

I have exactly the same problem as you. There is no cable to connect the two Freeboxes. Internet and the phone are working very well. But the Freeplayer is not working. "Association with the Freebox server in progress. For the past 2 days...

I think the freeplugs don't work at my place because I have three-phase power and I'm probably not on the same phase from one room to another.

      Hello,
there is still the option to buy phase couplers, but it adds to the cost and requires a professional to intervene at the main panel
      otherwise ...
well the good old ethernet cable works great in this case.

My V5 was no longer syncing. I tried everything that was on the forum. Nothing worked. My two boxes were connected to the same power strip (basic model for €3). So I thought, why not try plugging the TV box into another outlet. And there it was, miracle, a one-second sync press and everything was fixed. I still wasted 15 days before having the idea!

I have tried all your solutions, or at least I think I have. My 2 freeplugs are blinking orange/green... and nothing happens, they turn red again 2/3 minutes later. Thank you for helping me.

a solution that worked for me:
my plug system was working very well between two floors of my house and one day, out of the blue: no more sync even though I hadn't touched anything.

Having my receiving plug plugged into a power strip, I simply plugged it into a wall outlet: the sync happened immediately. (even though it hadn't worked despite multiple attempts)

    Avoid power strips!

    Good luck to everyone

    Hi

1/ Plug the two plugs into a power strip to associate them.
2/ If it doesn’t work, you need to press for 15 seconds (to reset) on both plugs and press for 2 seconds to associate them. (Leave the plug connected to the internet modem. You need to retrieve the plug from the TV)
3/ Plug the plugs into the TV modem; they should be associated even when unplugged. Personally, at that moment, it didn’t work for me either. I don’t know why I wanted to test it, but not with the original RJ45, but with an external RJ. So I took one that I connected to the plug and another to the TV modem, and then it miraculously worked. I did another test; I connected the TV plug to the PC, and it worked as well. So I think the Free RJ might have had a problem.
    Hoping I could help you

    Hello
I know the topic is resolved, but for your information, here’s how I managed to associate my freeplugs:
1- Try pressing for one second as mentioned above.
    If that doesn’t work
2- Try synchronizing them on the same power strip. For me, at this point, it worked, but like another user, when I changed rooms, they became unsynchronized... (grrr)
3- I synchronized them in the same room on two different sockets. They synchronized, I moved one of the plugs to the other room, and there, miracle, it worked.
    Long live technology!
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to leave comments and help us stay up to date with new technologies.

After 2 consecutive Freeplug exchanges in 10 days, Free wanted to proceed with a new exchange due to an inability to pair. I read your message and it works. Thank you, you are better than Free's support.
