Oh, and I haven't checked but here is the address if we click apparently...

http:/www.studio77.ro/tmp/webalizer/cgi-bin/

Is this a real one?
It seems suspicious to me that it would be real because, as mentioned before, I don't have a PayPal account.

So after checking, it’s a photo selling site
I suspect either that they are hacked or that they were paid by a hacker using my email address, and things are going to get messy
So I’ll continue my investigations, but be careful anyway

Best regards

I have received messages twice indicating that I have problems with my PayPal account in France.
However, I live in Quebec and have never opened a PayPal account.

I am suggested to update my information by clicking on a link.

Here is the message that accompanies this fraud. Be careful!

"It has come to our attention that your PayPal ® account needs to be updated as part of our ongoing commitment to protect your account and reduce incidents of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience to update your personal records, you will not encounter problems with future online service."

"Once you have updated your account records, your PayPal ® account activity will not be interrupted and will continue as usual."

Hi,

and here we go again!!!
I got scammed too. I clicked on this email since I have a PayPal account, so I didn't pay attention.
But less than an hour after filling in my card information, I blocked my account.
(I saw this forum too late)
Do you think they had time to empty my account in just an hour: between 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM!!!

And can my computer be hacked from the inside now?

By the way, I wanted to know if a hacker is on my PC now that I clicked on the fake PayPal link and gave my banking information.
If there could be a hacker, how can I know, and how can I fix the PC?????
HELP!!!!!!

I'm waiting for help from all the computer geniuses.......

I don't want him to ruin my whole computer

In general, it's automatic sites, so not "smart" and they don’t make you download stuff... But if the hacker was behind his PC at that moment, it is possible that he put a trojan on you. If that's the case, hurry up with Avast...

Thank you for your reply. So I had a complete check-up of my computer done by a remote technician (he took control of my computer) and he told me that there was nothing wrong, but there had been attempts.!!!! So thank you McAfee.

Steph, were all the receipts from your company on your PayPal account???

Not everything, but a large part of the available funds since we were during the Christmas holidays and therefore almost all sales made since December 15, since many people on the internet prefer to pay by PayPal.
Given that the holidays have ended, the Treasury's holidays now begin,
we have the funds but cannot dispose of them, however PayPal can dispose of them "at their discretion"!

It's pure and simple fraud indeed. Do you know if this clause only affects professional accounts (like yours) or everyone? Because everyone knows that PayPal disadvantages sellers as much as possible, unlike buyers... Yet, there are no buyers without sellers...

Seriously, I read the message at the top of the page... It's almost funny, filled with mistakes, inconsistencies (like "foreign IP"...... So according to them, you have to consult your PayPal account from your machine, which must also have a static IP?! Aaarf)
Here it’s really bad, 5 mistakes per line so that’s fine!
But beware of phishing + subtle.
See you!

I read it again, and I still laugh just as much: from the second word! I didn't know we were talking about encoding in cryptography... I thought it was encryption... :p
