put AV on my TV

Hello,

I have a Mitsubishi CT-21-AV1F-S TV and I'm not receiving any channels (basically, I can't watch TV channels...) but I don't care about that, what I want is to connect my PS2 and be able to play, but I don't have a remote control and I can't switch to "AV" to play. Plus, my PS2 doesn't switch to AV automatically, please help me!!

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.11

Hello mcstarz,

The management of switching to AV mode is done by the presence of a signal on pin 8 of the SCART connector. This signal is called slow switching; it indicates that a device is present and requests the television to automatically switch to AV mode.

Now, there are several possible reasons for malfunction:
1° Cable used: Do you have a complete SCART cable? Depending on the versions of the cable, not all functions may be present.
2° Your console is not sending the correct signal level for the television to switch to AV mode.

I'm re-explaining: if I connect my PS2 and turn on the TV and the PS2, nothing happens. I have another TV where it works, but this TV has a remote control. I want to connect my PS2 to another TV because the TV I use to play is almost never available. Anyway, to finish, there is not a single button or where it is to turn it on. There are:

Okay for the explanations of your Post 6.
Have you tried connecting a DVD player or a VCR to that AV plug on that questionable television?
If you can't watch a movie from a DVD player or a VCR, you might have a problem with that television.

Hello, I have the same problem as you, but for me it's a hotel TV that has a Scart socket but no AV either on its remote or on the TV itself, maybe it's the same for you.
