Hello,

For Christmas, I bought a DS for my friend (okay, a bit for myself too lol).
So I've started to look into "linkers", I'd like to be able to watch videos on the console.
On the net and on this forum, I don't clearly see whether or not we can watch videos on the DS; it seems that we can with linkers if we put the movie on the SD card... but I'm really not sure!

Does anyone know more?? Aside from pirated games, what is the point of linkers? Using programs found on the net?
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Otherwise, I saw this for the linkers, link "moonshell" on Wikipedia

MoonShell is a multimedia homebrew for the Nintendo DS. It is one of the most well-known software among amateur programs on the Nintendo DS, and since December 2006, one of the ways to watch videos on the DS.

The player supports DPG video files, MP3 / OGG / MOD / MDX / SPC / GBS / HES / NSF / XM / MIDI / AAC audio files, and JPEG / BMP / GIF / PNG image files, as well as .txt and .html text files. MoonShell plays videos in fullscreen at 20fps and widescreen videos at 24fps, with stereo sound at 32.768KHz. Both screens of the DS are used, with the lower screen allowing for file selection and control via the touchscreen. The built-in plugin system provides extensions to the program's capabilities. To add functionalities, plugin files are simply copied into the appropriate folder. To function as a media player, several plugin files are distributed with the software.

MoonShell is included as the default file manager for commercial products like SuperCard, R4, CycloDS, and M3 DS Simply.

Has anyone on the forum ever experienced this product? Does it work well for videos?

    Hi everyone!
A solution for encoding and decoding audio and video for practically any format (Tel, iPhone, Ds, DVD, DV,... etc) and it's free too!
The software is called: SUPER. You can find it with any search engine and for free. This tool definitely lives up to its name! You can encode whatever you want into whatever format you want (16/9-4/3, Ac3... at compression rates of your choice!!! The interface is a bit confusing, but with a right-click of the mouse, you'll get the hang of it quickly. I only use this now, even for work! I'm sure SUPER will simplify the lives of many people now! Happy encoding and enjoy watching on Ds!

    Hello,
I searched the site for a tutorial to convert videos to dpg format for my DS. I clicked on this link found on the site
    http://forum.supercard.fr/convertir-une-video-en-dpg-vt425.html
but I can't open the page, it says: "You don't have permission to access /download/dpgtools121.zip on this server." WHY?
Otherwise, I downloaded BatchDPG_v1.0, but I don't know how to use it!!! I would like to convert from vlc (flv) format to dpg.
When I extracted batchdpg, where is the application? Do I have to extract it every time?
    Thank you, a novice

    Hello

the DS reads movies very well; you need to go through the center icon (the music notes) multimedia. There must be better players, but in any case, it works very well.

Hi, take a closer look, because SUPER encodes well in DS format and it's also compatible with Vista.

Hello the rest of the world,

get the software super (you type it on Google and the first or second result) it's easy when you install it it will open and in the top left it will say mp4 you will click on it and at the bottom there will be nintendo ds click on it put the files you want to convert in the middle (you will understand when the time comes) then you click encode. In the end, it will be in the output folder of the software.
