Hi everyone,
yesterday I was listening to music on my Harman Kardon AVR 200 amp when suddenly, it went silent.
The display disappeared and the light turned red.
When I turn it off completely and back on, the light turns orange and when I try to activate it, there is a 3-second delay (as if it's trying to turn on), it still shows nothing and then the light turns red again.
Is it broken? Is this a parental protection mode that activated by itself? Or is it something else?
Thank you for your help

Thank you for your help.
I found the issue; actually, it's a blown fuse, I changed it but it blew immediately!! So at Arman, they explained to me that it was a serious problem that would cost me more than 150 euros. It’s almost the same as a new one without taxes.
Thanks again for your response.

Hello,
If I believe the manual, it goes into safety mode after a short circuit or overheating.
So check if the transformer fan (at the back) is working properly, and if so, as a last resort:
Unplug the device from the socket for a good 5 minutes.
Then plug it back in, turn the device on (upper part of the power button) but do not turn it on!
Next, you need to hold the TONE button (on the front, small black button) pressed down and turn on the amp using the power button on the remote. (Keep the "TONE" button pressed throughout the process!)
GOOD TO KNOW:
This will perform a complete reset of the device, and all the sound and speaker settings will return to their factory defaults!!!
But this might solve the problem!
It worked for me, and the procedure is described in the user manual in the problems and solutions section.
Keep me updated!
Thank you
Best regards,
Raphaël

Hello,
I'm taking advantage of this topic to ask for help.
I recently acquired this amplifier, but there was no manual... I'm looking for a manual, if possible.
Otherwise, I'm trying to connect my Freebox and my PS3 via optical cable, but I'm unable to get any sound. I'm a bit lost; I imagine there's an optical mode to activate on the amplifier, but without a manual and with no knowledge in this area, it's not easy.
Thank you for any responses.

Hello! To activate the optical mode, press the dig.select button and then the 2 right/left arrows below to select the OPTICAL audio mode, then press the set button in the middle of the 2 arrows to confirm! There you go Victor, my email is ***@*** in case you have any other questions, I know this amplifier very well! Best regards.
