Hello,
I'm looking for ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5. My Canon 8000F scanner worked perfectly with XP, but since I switched to Vista, the PhotoStudio 5 software crashes the scanner on startup. The patches are not applicable as my version of PhotoStudio doesn't allow them. I've tested with the trial version of ArcSoft 5.5 and it works.
Given the price of the software, it's better to buy a new scanner, which I don't want to do.

    I saw that you used to use Photostudio 5 with WINDOWS XP, can you explain to me how you used to merge 2 photos?
    I can't find the secondary photo either in the dropdown menu or therefore in the frame. I always get the main photo duplicated even though I have opened both photos.

    Hi, it's already done. The problem is just with Photostudio; the scanner works with the toolbox (I hadn't mentioned that), but we're limited.

    Here, I reinstalled the Canon LiDE 30 on my PC (Vista) and found the appropriate versions from Canon.
    However, no matter how many times I reinstall the French version, PhotoStudio is in German...
    How can I get the French interface, please?

        I just saw on a forum that you suggested to a user to download an update for Vista regarding Photostudio 5.5. I apparently have the same problem when switching from XP to Vista; this software doesn’t work well and Vista sometimes refuses to allow it to be used after opening!
        I went to the ArcSoft website, but it’s in English!!!!!! I don’t understand English and I can’t find the download for this update for Vista!
        Could you please give me more details on how to download this version?

    Hello
    It is possible to update Photostudio 5 to make it work on Vista or Seven. I just did it with version 1.03 of Photostudio on Seven.
    You need to go to the Arcsoft website, then click on the Software Patches tab and first download a patch to upgrade to version 5.5. Then, in the Photostudio 6 window, click on the
    Software Patches tab and download the version for Vista. For me, it also works on Seven. Previously, when I wanted to scan in Photostudio, an error message "twain error" appeared. Now everything works.
