Hello everyone,

Regarding billing when a service or sale of a good is not provided, consumer law protects you.
Indeed, if you are under total unbundling, your ISP rents the line from FT, so FT becomes the supplier of the ISP. As a result, whether the problem arises from the ISP, one of its suppliers, or its subcontractors, the ISP remains responsible and cannot ask you to pay for the good or service by claiming a problem from one of its partners.
The only company you signed a contract with is your ISP; the others are their problem.

I advise you to take some time to read the consumer code at www.legifrance.gouv.fr

I have the same desynchronization issue with FREE at the moment, and I think it won’t be long before it blows up in their face.

Have a nice day everyone!

In the case of total unbundling, it is necessary to measure the current capacity. If it corresponds to the length of the line, the problem lies at the DSLAM level; if it is lower, there is a break between your home and the DSLAM.

On your internal wiring, you need to check all the sockets and also ensure that the filter does not come out too easily from the telephone socket. If this is the case, you need to adjust the prongs so that the contact is made.

As for repair obligations, I am a technician for SFR, and in the interventions I carry out, 40% of problems are attributable to the ISP or FT and the remainder to the individual. Should the individual be charged in this case?

Merry Christmas.

Hello Grumpy and Merry Christmas :)

"Should the individual be charged in this case?"

That's what FT/Orange does if it's the client's responsibility....
