Problem - The Witcher Installation

Hello,

I'm having an issue while installing The Witcher, at around 75% I receive this message:

I've tried to install this game 5 times, on each of my hard drives and I keep having the same problem. I tried to copy the files from the game DVD to my hard drives but it refuses to copy data4.cab (error message in the middle), the same with isobuster, it shows me an error message in the middle of the copy.

I took the game back to Fnac, but the seller was able to install it on his PC without any issues ... he advised me to remove everything related to Nero (I didn't have it), Daemon Tools (uninstalled + CCleaner to remove any remaining traces) and other similar software (no more burning-emulation software on my PC), and still this data4.cab is putting up a fight -_-'

Does anyone have a solution ... ?

    Here I tried to install "the Witcher" and this message appears.

    Please insert the original DVD of "the Witcher"! ***
    I have a small setup but still I'm afraid I won't make it!
    Is it my PC that's dead or my DVD drive or is the collector's edition cursed? ^^
    Anyway, I'm lost, if someone can help me, I thank you in advance!

    I hope to find someone to help me get rid of this problem.

    try to create an ISO of the game and then mount it with Daemon Tools Pro Agent (IDE drive because the game doesn't run on SCSI)

    Test the installation with another DVD drive... or it’s your original DVD that’s the problem

    I have a problem with the CD. I install the game perfectly, but when I try to launch it, I get a message: please insert the original DVD of "the witcher." However, it's exactly the game CD that I put in when I want to play. Is there any way to play the game? Is it a problem with the CD, and in that case, should I return the game to the store? Please respond.

    Hello again everyone...

    So, earlier I asked for help from the community and I thank you all for your kindness and the support you have given me.

    However, I couldn't play due to some incidents, but things have progressed since then, and the game has been uninstalled and reinstalled.
    I downloaded patch 1.5 but I can't install it. But if that was the only problem, I wouldn't be writing this post. ^^

    As always, it's still with the same game, namely the collector's edition of the first opus, once the installation is complete, the game asks me to insert the original disc... lol
    there, I really just laughed nervously because it's a clear incitement to piracy, XD! I don't know what to do please, Hellllllp Meeeee.

    What should I do?

    I made an iso, I have two different clients to mount an image and create a virtual drive, but I don't know how to use them well.
    Could you please explain to me step by step how to play with a game that is considered non-original?

    For patch 1.2 and 1.2, it blocks the no cd / no dvd for The Witcher.
    You just need to emulate the small image with Daemon Tool/Alcohol 120%, and not use the no cd / dvd.
    It works for me with the latest version of Daemon plus the installation of the Daemon DVD driver "SPTD v153-x86" + the installation of The Witcher without adding the no cd/dvd.

    I have the exact same problem as you. So thank you if someone has a solution. The game was lent to me by my cousin and it works perfectly at his place. Whereas here it tells me: please insert the original DVD of "the witcher." Thank you for replying.

      When I install the game, at one point it asks me to insert the bonus DVD and I need to enter what it calls a path. I don't know what I should enter, I don't understand anything!!!
      What should I do?

    Hello everyone,

    I bought The Witcher a week ago and installed, after the last patch 1.1a, the no-cd "The Witcher 1.1a".
    It doesn't work because a system error appears.

    I also tried to mount "NS-TW_SS-poseden.mds" on a virtual CD/DVD (IDE) using Daemon Tools Pro but I can't get it to work (the file won't launch).

    Please help me!!!
