Matrix inversion in EXCEL: it doesn't work

Solved

Hello,

I need to calculate an inverse matrix in EXCEL using the INVERSE function, but it's not working.

For example, when I calculate the inverse of a 3x3 matrix, instead of getting a 3x3 inverse matrix, EXCEL gives me a single value. However, I am selecting a blank range of 3 rows and 3 columns, then I go to the EXCEL functions and select the INVERSE function, I select the range of my matrix to be inverted and click OK.

Thank you for your help

Hello
The approach is correct, except at the end, you shouldn't click ok but instead press the Ctrl, Shift, and Enter keys simultaneously.

Thank you, it seems to be working, but I don't understand; I'm receiving value in some cells.

The data must be in a numerical format (number, date, time ...) and there must not be any empty cells.

And it is not "some cells" but all the cells that then display "#VALUE!" ...

Thank you for the explanation, and in fact my problem came just from the fact that I didn't know how to differentiate between the SHIFT key and the CAPS key lol.
