Hello,

I would like to block advertising calls. In the phone settings, you can find: Incoming call ID and spam protection

That can be activated. It’s Hiya. And it asks us to accept the terms of use...

But that also blocks numbers that aren’t in our contacts? Without knowing what that number is?

Android my phone*

Thank you for your help

After that, I’ve noticed for a while that unsolicited calls always start with the same 4 digits each time. (Even though there are about 3 different starting digits). I think it’s impossible to block a starting sequence of a number

    Hello,

In fact, spam often uses the same numbers because the prefix is the one authorized for solicitation.

There are tools to filter calls like Saracroche (very easy to use, and according to Exodus Privacy analyses, there is no tracker inside)

    Hello,

I have activated Hiya protection on my Galaxy A56.

It is really very effective. There is no blocking of callers who are not in the contacts. I have not observed any errors.

I use the "high-risk scam call blocking" feature. It is not the maximum block; for me, it is sufficient.

At the same time, I activated the audio presentation of the number. It is in Call settings > Answering and ending calls.
When a number is marked as undesirable, I am free to take the call or ignore it.

I confirm that you cannot block the beginnings of numbers on the smartphone. I can do it in my operator's management interface (Free).

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come readily.

      Hello,

Some blocking applications like Call Filter allow you to blacklist generic numbers, for example all numbers of solicitors starting with +33270* (the zero in front of the two is phagocyted, so anything that starts with 0270) and so on for the others, there are twelve in total if I remember correctly.

      Thank you

Me too, it's a Samsung Galaxy

The block for scam calls is just below, I just checked. But do you recommend enabling both at the same time or testing first?

(I just saw in: block numbers. it also offers blocking unknown numbers. In my opinion that means any number not in contacts)

For the audio presentation of the number I can't see what it is?

You must not block calls from unknown numbers (otherwise only contacts will be allowed).

Then I activated the protection service and blocked high-risk calls.
So that I receive an alert for a spam-risk call without it being blocked, while high-risk calls are blocked without me receiving an alert.

For the audio presentation of the number (useful for saved contacts):

        Thank you

I hadn't clicked on it yet, I just saw that it offers 2 of them...

I'll do as you do, in my opinion

        ___

I didn't even know that the Hiya app was part of the apps installed on our phones

        Hello,

It is not by default to my knowledge only on Samsung and otherwise always to my knowledge paid on the others.
