Hello, For the past few days, I haven't had any sound with Ubuntu 24.04. The issue occurred in two phases.

1°) I played a video. The sound was present, but it lasted about 7 minutes, then nothing. The same thing happened the next day with 6 to 7 minutes of sound.

2°) Now, there is no sound at all, whether online or offline.

In Synaptic, "alsa" and "pipewire" packages (but not all!!) are installed. Can someone help me??

    Hello,

Have you installed pavucontrol and tried adjusting the sound?

sudo apt update sudo apt install pavucontrol pavucontrol &

Also, make sure that the speaker you want to use is not muted. It might also be worth testing a few audio profiles (in pavucontrol) to see if that helps.

    Good luck

Hello Mamiemando, I entered the last command (pavucontrol &).

    Here is the result:

(pavucontrol:9644): Gtk-WARNING **: 14:53:34.142: Theme parsing error: gtk-widgets.css:154:26: The style property GtkButton:inner-border is deprecated and shouldn't be used anymore. It will be removed in a future version

What do you think of this command output? Should I install pavucontrol-qt?

    Thank you for your help.
