Hello. I can no longer open either my document files or my photos. A window opens stating "The component you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available - Click OK to retry or enter another path to a folder containing the installation package HomeStudentWWW.msi in the box below - Use source: C/MSOCcacheVAII/91120000-002F-000-0." I followed the instructions but it still doesn't work. It says "file not found". Can someone help me resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

As far as I know, there is no Windows 10 Home and Student version, but there are older Office versions with an MSI installer.

The causes can be multiple, but if we don't want to buy a somewhat recent version for a few cents (if I recall correctly, everything since 2019 except perhaps a few volume licenses is in Click To Run), it’s probably quicker to uninstall and reinstall (with data preservation) than to look for this cause.

Thank you, Brucine, for your response.

However, it is somewhat complicated for me as I am quite a novice.

If, as you state, it is necessary to uninstall and reinstall (while preserving data), could you please clarify the steps to take?

Thank you in advance, and I take this opportunity to wish you a happy end-of-year celebration.

Hello,

Uninstalling Office from the Control Panel - Programs - Uninstall or more completely from the Office Assistant and then reinstalling it from its CD or installation file keeps the documents.
