Stop recording on OneDrive

Hello, I've gone through the procedure at least ten times to stop saving my Word or Excel documents on OneDrive, but nothing works: they still save there, and when I save as, if I'm not careful about the directory, it defaults to OneDrive.

I just checked once again, everything is unchecked or checked where it should be, I've changed the directory as instructed, but nothing works.

Please help me!

Hello,

The safest option would be to uninstall OneDrive to have peace of mind once and for all.

Disable or uninstall OneDrive

Cancel or stop syncing in OneDrive

It's not just about the cloud; it's also possible to use an external hard drive (which fits in your pocket…) to make backups and have them handy from one PC to another.

After that, in this context, it's preferable to store backups on two external hard drives in case one of the drives fails.
