Upgrade from unactivated W10 to activated W11

Hello,

I need to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (I've done it several times already...)

But I realized that the PC on which Windows 10 is installed is not activated!

Do I need to buy a Windows 10 activation key beforehand in order to install Windows 11?

    Windows needs to work before purchasing it, to ensure you're not paying for nothing if there are issues.

      Does Windows 11 work with updates?

      If not:

      To migrate, if possible, download the ISO file of Windows 11

      https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows11

      Once you have the ISO file, right-click > Open with > Windows Explorer

      Then click on the setup.exe file

      Follow the instructions to "install" without erasing everything, just make sure the brackets showing that you are keeping everything are okay.

      Then, all that's left is to buy a key.

      They sell for a few cents by pulling out a card on CDiscount, but for the reliability or longevity of the licenses, I have never tested the licenses from CDiscount.

      I buy them a little more expensive via PayPal on SharewareOnSale.com (Not affiliated) but every time I get "Retail" licenses for Windows 10 and 11

    Yes thank you, I know that you can buy licenses!

    But that doesn't answer my question...

    To upgrade to W11, do I first need to purchase a W10 license? Or can I install W11 and then buy a W11 license?

    In fact, it doesn't matter much, Windows 10 licenses activate Windows 11 and vice versa.
